The Online Teacher supports students in meeting their educational goals and ensuring they are successful in an online independent study environment. Required duties include preparation and delivery of live instruction, homeroom and administrative responsibilities, and completion of all required documentation.

Teachers are expected to uphold the school's mission and shared values, philosophy, policies and procedures. Live Sessions Homeroom support Office hours Employees must reside within the state of California for the duration of their employment with CalPac. This position will be assigned to teach students in second grade. Candidate must have BCLAD certification.

Requirements / Qualifications

If selected for employment, candidates must reside and work within the State of California during the term of their employment as per board policy. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

A valid and current California State Multiple Subject teaching credential A copy of the credential must be provided at the time of application and kept current for the duration of the assignment. Authorization to teach English learners; BCLAD required State and federal background clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Education Code Section 44237). No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and Human Resources notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance. Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days (Education Code Section 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years.

CalPac is a fully online TK-12 grade charter school. We are seeking a dynamic teaching candidate with passion for engaging students and families in the learning journey.

Fully credentialed, BCLAD candidates with experience teaching second grade students will be given priority consideration for filling this position.
