Responsibilitiesof the
Online Marketing Specialist

Develop and execute new initiatives, promotions and content to grow eCommerce revenue through merchandising, product assortment, customer acquisition and digital marketing.
Analyze site performance and develop strategies to significantly grow traffic, conversions, and revenue by leveraging strong knowledge of web analytics tools, including Google Analytics.
Proficiency in SEO, keyword search and competitor analysis.
Track campaign performance and develop weekly, monthly and quarterly reports analyzing digital performance, insights and optimization recommendations.
Manage the visual design and content of our websites to maximize lead generation and ensure a positive user experience.
Partner with the marketing and product development teams to create consistent brand messaging and drive marketing strategies across both channels.
Stay abreast of the ever-changing digital and eCommerce space, and contribute new ideas towards sales growth.
Requirements of the
Online Marketing Specialist

3+ years optimizing search results, web ranking and product search results to drive sales within digital and/or eCommerce.
2+ years of experience with organic and paid search, sound understanding of the impact of user experience, usability with eCommerce and web development.
Strong knowledge of online marketing strategies and tools, including keyword search, merchandising, pricing, product positioning, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and social media.
Excellent analytical skills with experience leveraging web analytics to track, measure and enhance marketing efforts.
Must have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage the success of multiple projects concurrently
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience in the sporting goods and/or consumer packaged goods industry a plus.
College degree required

The Division has five components, Office of the Vice President, Campus Health and Well Being, Student Services, Dean of Students, and Student Affairs Operations. Office of the Vice President includes the Vice President's staff, ASI, intercollegiate Athletics, University Housing Services and Student Affairs Development, as well as a dotted line from the Police Chief to the VP. Student Services includes: Career Center, Orientation Services and Student Support and Equity Programs. Campus Health and Well Being includes: Disability Resource Center, Student Health & Wellness Programs, Counseling Services, Survivor Advocacy Services and Basic Needs initiatives. Dean of Students includes: Student Conduct and integrity, Office of Student Life & Cultural Centers, Project Success and the Bronco Dreamer's Resource Center. AVP/Chief of Operations area includes: Budget, Personnel, Strategic Planning, Capital Projects, Children's Center, Business Processes and Technology Support, Communications & Marketing, Divisional Assessment Business Continuity and Emergency Response Planning. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Communications and Marketing Specialist working under the supervision of the AVP/Chief of Operations, makes recommendations to the Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT) on Divisional publication goals and policy issues regarding marketing strategies, cost effectiveness, and delivery of Student Affairs communications; supports and prepares an integrated marketing plan for prospective and current students including web development, social media, publications, and email communication from multiple departments; under the guidance of AVP/COO, develops web, print divisional standards to ensure a consistent quality look and feel, and are equal access/ATI compliant. Creates a plan and timeline for the division's marketing and communications strategy; working with the Student Affairs Operations team, specializes in planning, developing, and producing a variety of informational and promotional media such as but not limited to the Division's annual report, handbooks, newsletters, social media postings, recruitment materials, co-curricular programs, brochures, correspondence, displays, posters, print advertisements, info graphics, flyers, banners, folders, T-shirts, slideshow presentations, and other event materials; serves as one of the campus moderators for emails sent to the campus list serve for students; in collaboration with other Division staff as appropriate, supports the production of a Division newsletter, PolyUpdates, Friends and Family, Social Media and other online publications, scheduling the marketing timeline, layout of stories and other materials in a web format, inputting edits, ensuring the content meets equal access standards and ATI compliance, and distributing the newsletters electronically; communicates and keeps other divisions updated on upcoming Student Affairs projects and events. Designs, develops and maintains the Division of Student Affairs website including working with Department Directors or designees to assist in the design, development, programming and maintenance of all departmental websites; in collaboration with IT, analyzes traffic to websites and recommends programming changes, transfer of files and memory allocation for websites on server or cloud; provides website training as needed for division employees; provides assistance and guidance to the Division and site visitors regarding online problems, inquiries, and feedback. The incumbent collaborates with internal departments and external vendors on special events, promotions, marketing campaigns and coordinates online marketing efforts with Division and campus constituents; serves in University-wide and Division event committees and initiatives; maintains relationships with Division Directors regarding development and production of communications; serves on the University-wide communications groups and participates in Strategic Communication led meetings such as weekly teleconferences and monthly PR roundtable meetings to discuss a range of communications issues.
