Limestone University invites applications for the full-time position of Online & Graduate Enrollment Counselor.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Online and Graduate Enrollment Counselor at Limestone University is responsible for recruiting and assisting prospective students through the admissions process for the Online and Graduate Programs. This position includes all aspects of the admissions process for an assigned population, from inquiry to acceptance. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Online and Graduate Programs. It works collaboratively with Student Success Coaches/Advisors to ensure that accepted students continue through the funnel to registration. The position also works collaboratively with the Registrar's Office, the Student Accounts Office, Financial Aid, and other university offices. This position is based on the main campus in Gaffney, SC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Recruitment:

  • Travel to community colleges, college fairs, and higher education conferences, and other events to recruit prospective applicants for the online and graduate programs.

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive recruitment plan to ensure the growth and success of online and graduate programs. Create action plans to obtain personal, professional, and departmental growth and objectives.

  • Collaborate with other Enrollment Counselors to maintain a friendly, service-oriented relationship with prospective students through effective phone, email, video conference, and face-to-face communication.

  • Professionally guide and assist prospective applicants and applicants through the admissions process, including answering questions related to academic program requirements, transfer credits, transcript submission, online and seated learning options, and other application-related tasks.

  • Collaborate with Student Success Coaches/Advisors to ensure that accepted students are continuing to move through the funnel to registration.

  • Document all student interactions and engage in reliable detailed data entry and information management to ensure data integrity for reporting, analysis, marketing, recruiting, and budget projections.

  • Serve as the primary contact for students in the admissions process, providing excellent customer service and enhancing the student experience.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with personnel at other colleges, community colleges, and higher education institutions.

  • Other:

  • Monitor students in the pipeline and ensure that they are moving quickly through the admissions process.

  • Focus on solving problems and roadblocks that generally prohibit students from being able to move through the admissions process.

  • Identify students who are deemed at-risk and communicate this information to the appropriate Student Success Coach/Advisor.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, faculty, and various departments.

  • Travel will be required. Transportation will be provided or mileage will be paid based on the university travel mileage policy. Travel may be outside of standard operating hours, including nights and weekends. Standard travel will be up to 65% during travel season and up to 25% during the remainder of the year.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • The work environment may change during travel to various locations.

  • The noise level when in the office is typically quiet.

  • Willing to work on a shift schedule that accommodates clients' schedules (i.e., evening work when students are home) and on some weekends. Travel may be outside of standard operating hours, including nights and weekends. Schedule adjustments will be made in consideration of travel.

  • The standard schedule for this position will be Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM.

  • One late night (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) is required each week.

  • One Saturday (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) is required per month.

  • Conduct telephone interviews and email and text correspondence to identify student prospects to determine their educational needs, concerns, and interests.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required. Consideration will be given to individuals actively pursuing their Bachelor's degree.

  • An outgoing personality, strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and superior customer service skills are a must.

  • The ideal candidate is someone with either sales experience, higher education experience, or a combination of similar skills and experience.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to following up with clients in a timely fashion.

  • Energetic, service-oriented, motivated, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
