We're looking for a dynamic individual who can provide academic advising to fully online students seeking to complete an online degree/certificate or transfer to a 4-year institution. This advising position is somewhat unique in that you would also be working with other online student services staff in advising, faculty and support staff to improve online student success with additional project work.

As a major regional referral center, OHSU has a varied and challenging caseload. The surgical pathology lab processes over 43,000 surgical specimens per year. The Department of Pathology has a collegial faculty, 12 residents, a post-sophomore fellowship program, and five post-graduate fellowship programs. We are supported by excellent molecular genetic laboratories and a state-of-the-art core laboratory. OHSU offers a variety of collaborative research opportunities and is home to the Knight Cancer Institute, an international leader in research and cancer treatment. Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range * FTE: 1.0, Full Time * Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday days, with shared call evenings and weekends * Salary Range: Commensurate with Qualifications * Location: Portland, OR (Marquam Hill) * Job Type: Faculty Functions/Duties of Position The Department of Pathology at OHSU seeks an academic cytopathologist and surgical pathologist with strong diagnostic skills. This position will be assigned responsibilities in Cytopathology with additional duties in a surgical pathology subspecialty and occasional responsibilities in other anatomic pathology services. The responsibilities include the clinical service and teaching functions of the sections, as well as sharing evening and weekend call with the surgical pathology staff on an equal basis. Service and other assignments will be reviewed and modified by the department Chair, as needed. Educational responsibilities include participation in the instructional program for medical and graduate students, residents and fellows of the Department as assigned by the Chair. Service responsibilities include participation in committees and councils of OHSU; outreach and public service programs and professional societies with the knowledge and consent of the Chair. Research responsibilities are to participate in clinical and basic research programs at OHSU as opportunities provide, and to work toward funding these studies through grants and contracts.
