The job of Special Education Instructional Assistant is done for the purpose/s of assisting (under direct supervision) in the supervision and instruction of special education students; relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks; and assisting students by providing for special health care needs. The Special Education Instructional Assistant reports directly to the site administrator.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Completed Classified Employment Application

• Letter of Introduction

• Three letters of recommendation (within past 12 months with at least one from a supervisor) - Resume

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Proof of passing the district's IA Proficiency Exam (which may be taken prior to applying at the SBUSD Human Resources Office located at 601 Elm Ave., Imperial Beach, CA 91932) - Completed Classified Employment Application
