The Morgan Stanley Cloud Storage Engineering (CSCEng) team is responsible for the assessment, design, deployment, implementation and management of our Cloud based storage services like Box, Dropbox as well as other SaaS products such as Office 365/OneDrive for Business. The role would also entail working with clients to onboard them to the platform as well as working with multiple 3rd party vendors (MobileIron, Adallom, SkyHigh, Symantec DLP/Vontu, CASBs, etc) and internal groups (Ping Federate, LDAP Engineering, Virtualization Engineering, Secure Islands, Microsoft RMS, Desktop Engineering, Mobility engineering and many others) to deliver a strategic cloud storage platform for the firm that covers browser, desktop and iOS & Android mobile access.
ResponsibilitiesThis resource will provide end to end engineering (design, implement, deploy and monitor) support and direction in the implementation and support of OneDrive for Business. The project's aim is to establish a viable solution to enable sharing content (including large files) securely with internal peers using OneDrive for Business. Project includes the buildout of the OneDrive for Business Pilot & production environment and also integrating it with a provisioning / management platform utilizing Agile SDLC processes and continuous integration methods.
Candidate should be well versed in Windows development with C# The candidate is expected to be able to work across many different internal groups, vendors, clients, security & engineering groups and many technologies to deliver a product to the firm. The candidate should also be a self-starter with an ability to work in a globally dispersed team, troubleshoot and develop solutions.
Skills Required:
Is able to take a task and run with it
Excellent problem solver with good communication & writing skills
Excellent knowledge in OneDrive for Business and content migration
Is able to track issues, resolve them, escalate to the engineering team or vendor support as needed
Extensive experience deploying OneDrive for business
Extensive experience deploying other SaaS cloud storage products such as SPO/o365, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
Excellent understanding of web technologies (HTML5/CSS Framework/REST/JS Framework/JS Test Framework)
Excellent understanding of security & internet technologies (HTTP1.1/HTTPS/TLS/DNS/Digital certificates)
Excellent understanding of authentication technologies (SiteMinder, SAML, Windows Kerberos, OAUTH)
Experience with Microsoft .Net technologies (ASP.NET MVC, design patterns in C# and Microsoft Enterprise Library)
Ability to develop applications and system tools to implement, deploy and manage infrastructure systems on premise and in the cloud
Experience with Github, Jira and other continuous integration technology and SDLC agile development techniques.
Proficient in documenting, building, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting systems.
Full stack developer Skills desired:
Experience with (Cloud Access Security Broker) such as Microsoft Cloud App Security, SkyHigh or similar
Experience with Powershell
Experience with O365 technologies (SharePoint Online, O365)
Experience with onboarding cloud service products like SharePoint Online, DropBox, Google Apps etc.
Experience with Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) for iOS MobileIron
Able to do research and suggest on use of new features and implementation of that feature on the new platform.
Experience with SQL programming with relational databases and light DB admin DLP, user permissions, Business Information Barrier

Within the FRBNY Markets group, the mission of the BTA Directorate is to improve the quality of business-tailored technology support by establishing clear (1) ownership of business knowledge and technology support activities, and (2) responsibility and accountability to end users. Your role as Deputy Business Liaison/ Technology Manager – Business Technology – Markets Group: This role will support two business functions within the Markets Group and will require occasional travel to our Chicago office: * Market Operations Monitoring and Analysis (MOMA), which executes transactions in the open market and conducts detailed analysis of financial market developments and the * Discount Window & Collateral Valuation (DWCV) which is responsible for administering the operations of the Discount Window for the Bank and Collateral Valuation and Counterparty/Payment Risk functions for all Reserve Banks across the System. The Deputy Business Liaison/ Technology Manager will provide leadership to help guide the technology service delivery for MOMA/DWCV across all support providers (FRBNY Markets, TG, NIT, FRS, and vendor service providers), focusing on analytical products and enabling services. The Deputy Business Liaison will act as advisor and spokesperson for all technical aspects of systems/tools which are used in the analysis and distribution of analysis for MOMA/DWCV information. Specific responsibilities include: * Directly support solution delivery by facilitating efficient decision-making with senior stakeholders, coordinating and overseeing the delivery of services by Markets BT, the Technology Group (TG), the Federal Reserve Systems National IT organization (NIT) and technical vendors. * Ensure ongoing alignment of project objectives and delivery, and active management of lifecycle risk. Within the appropriate span of control, the Deputy Business Liaison provides a quality control function for solution delivery and is responsible for identifying, triaging, and directing technical issue resolution and project decision making on behalf of MOMA/DWCV and other service delivery partners. The position is also responsible for ensuring effective communication and coordination amongst stakeholders is in place at all times. * Provide day-to-day oversight and management of staff assigned to the portfolio of projects and desk support for analytically focused directorates across the MOMA/DWCV functions (CMMA, CPPA, CCR, CCVA). Projects under remit include: build-out of several robust portfolio valuation and risk analytics modeling systems, research creation and publication platforms, and advanced desktop tooling using econometric and data management technologies. The oversight will span the full project lifecycle, throughout which BTAs will: * Initiation Phase: Support business areas with technology guidance and high-level assessments of new initiatives. Prepare materials for governance and technology review meetings. Help prioritize against business goals and reach out to other technology partners as needed to provide initial scoping. * Requirements and Design Phase (Elaboration): Facilitate requirements gathering and document requirements for the projects identified. Apply experienced critical thinking and judgment to support the business in prioritizing individual requirements based on their necessity to achieve the business goals. Collaborate with delivery technologists and architects in shaping solution delivery and project scoping * Construction Development Phase: Serve as a business's representative during the construction phase of individual projects. Generally, this entails identifying issues which either need escalation or would benefit by collaboration with other BT resources for resolution. Provide day to day support in prioritizing and resolving issues as required. Support the business in managing scope as rigorously as possible to ensure successful delivery * Construction Testing Phase: Lead testing efforts by defining testing approaches and establishing testing plans which meet project requirements. Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts by managing day to day activities of assigned BTA's against UAT goals. Define and oversee process for business testing of software efforts. Ensure high quality delivery through the testing process. Drive continuous improvement in testing processes across QMO, Ops Support and UAT teams across project efforts. * Transition Phase: Represent the business' interests in quality control, delivery and rollout efforts on project core team meetings. Ensure clear documentation of Rollout communication plans and document for business staffs their activities on deployment days. Review and prioritize quality control issues as they are identified. * Confidently provide timely and effective communication to the business during production incidents to include impact analysis and decision making around remediation steps and contingency procedures as well as be the central driver of operational improvements for MOMA/DWCV Desk operations. * Demonstrate subject-matter expertise with relevant technology applications and with market and business processes required to drive remediation of production incidents. * Demonstrate technical leadership in navigating and driving to a successful path forward. Prudently understand who and when to engage other support resources, BTAs, and/or business users, and how and when to escalate as required in a timely fashion. * Reduce operational risk in the across the set of end user tools in use by the MOMA desks by (a) driving improvements in desktop stability in partnership with National IT's End User Services and staff from the Technology Group that support the desktop; (b) driving the enhancement and rollout of the Desktop Toolkit; (c) supporting the BTA groups' development of a comprehensive Desktop Architecture. * Identify areas for improvement of the overall technical delivery process across the team and nurture a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in alignment with the Group's quality management process. This may include adoption of innovative technologies (e.g., automated tooling for requirements, testing, and deployment). * Act as a trusted advisor to both business and technology stakeholders by: * Proactively identifying opportunities and crafting proposals (and building consensus for the proposals) to optimize and enhance technology systems and tools used by the business in alignment with operational and analytical business objectives. * Collaborate with the business to develop business strategies by providing well thought-out solution options and impact analyses in response to changes in stakeholder requirements, market conditions, or business-led innovation. * Lead the definition and development of technology roadmaps and standards within Markets business domains to ensure sustainability (i.e., that they are always current and supported)) and alignment to mature technology delivery practices * Oversee the development of design standards for (1) creation of desktop tools and (2) architecture patterns, which are well-aligned to risk and technology best-practices; help ensure tools are well-aligned to core technical and business standards. Provide guidance and justification when deviation is required * Identify emerging technologies and opportunities for their adoption, with an awareness of FRBNY architecture and industry trends; investigate and formulate strategic recommendations to implement. Specifically, advise on the value of adoption of technologies such as Python, R, Tableau, Spotfire, and Alteryx solutions, including usage patterns and support. What we are looking for: A strong Deputy Business Liaison/Technology Manager candidate will be able to operate at multiple levels on analysis concurrently. For example, success in this area could require detailed knowledge of how a risk-forecasting model functions, so that an operational issue can be managed effectively, but would also require the ability to make strategic recommendations on the user interface design of a group-wide research portal. Expertise/Experience: * 10-15 years of experience working on technology efforts in a financial markets environment (buy side, sell side or central banking preferred) * Solid understanding of the basic trade and security issuance lifecycle for fixed income securities (with a focus on US Treasuries) and the analytic data that support analysis of the business * Strong knowledge of financial and economic concepts and related Markets business processes * Excellent management and organizational skills, including the ability to direct multiple assignments and manage staff with a wide range of educational and professional experience * Strong knowledge of the analytic tools and techniques used to analyze and communicate analysis to stakeholders across the bank, system and board at all levels of management * Strong knowledge of SQL, VBA, Python, Access, Excel, SharePoint, Spotfire, R, and Tableau * Education—B.S. with coursework in IT, Economics or Finance; Masters degree in IT, Business Administration or other relevant advanced degree preferred This position requires access to confidential information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
