Responsibilities / Job Description:
One Call Analyst are the front line defense for pipeline awareness, damage prevention starts here.

The One Call Analyst role is to evaluate, support and reduce the number of 811 notification tickets the one call field responder would have to analyze, investigate and respond to. The one call analyst will verify one call tickets and close tickets as "No Conflict" in our automated system when they are able to determine our facilities will not be impacted by the proposed excavation. The analyst will use all available resources, ESRI GIS, Google Maps, Geo Portal, One Call System, including communication with excavators and DCP field operations to determine whether the proposed activity encroaches or is in direct conflict with our underground facilities. All one call tickets that are determined to be in conflict or if the one call analyst is unable to mark as "No Conflict" will be handled by the locale operations group.

Analyst 1 responsibilities:

  • General administration of Houston Control Center, ordering supplies, assist with expense statements and travel booking, correct time sheets, complete User Request Forms (URF), morning volume reports for marketing, etc.

  • Receive and analyze incoming calls from our 1-800 emergency numbers throughout the states that we operate in, including all our Pipeline markers.

  • Communicate with our locators when tickets are approaching due times per the state laws and rules. This is an attempt to process the ticket before it becomes delinquent.

  • Analyze 811 tickets received in the system, review and analyze content, recommend action and route to appropriate resources in the field.

  • Communicate with excavators for additional information on work type, location, and time frames as needed.

  • Provide support and back up to unassigned tickets, monitor system communication between One Call Systems, Field Operations, Positive Response's and investigate and resolve missing tickets.

  • Ability to resolve technical and analytical problems quickly and accurately.

Analyst 2, should be able to perform all of Analyst 1 responsibilities, the majority of the following responsibilities and should have a minimum of 1 year service. Service time could be waived on a new recruits that have 3 years' experience in one call ticket management.

  • Support mobile device operation as related to One Call. Assist in enrolling the devices in compliance with DCP Standards.

  • Receive, analyze and effectively respond to inquiries on one call ticket information or determination of conflict or no conflict response.

  • Manage Electronic on Call System (EOC) with training field operations and scheduling personnel for emergency notifications.

  • Administer the enterprise One Call Software as a Service (SaaS) Application.

  • Ability to evaluate and understand when a One Call Ticket can be cleared and will not be required to located.

  • Perform data analysis on one call data for ticket density, audits, pipeline incidents, etc. using GIS type mapping or other tools available.

  • May require 10% travel to other DCP Midstream office locations in the following states, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Colorado, etc.

New Hire Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education High School diploma/GED.

  • Work Experience One (1) year related experience in One Call or Pipeline Field Operations.

  • Proficient verbal communication and grammar skills.

  • Able to think and act clearly when dealing with an emergency or stressful situation.

  • Ability to receive, analyze, interpret, and exchange information to effectively respond and make referrals to the applicable audience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

New Hire Desired Qualifications:

  • Acquainted with One-Call ticket management programs and processes.

  • Familiar with computer based mapping tools (ESRI preferred).

  • Understanding of basic pipeline, oil and gas terms.

  • Aware of encroachment management processes.

  • Familiar with underground damage prevention activities and individual state One Call Laws (811)

  • Associates or Secondary education \ Certification
