Array BioPharma is a fully-integrated, biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, with locations in Cambridge, MA and Morrisville, NC. Array is focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of targeted small molecule drugs to treat patients afflicted with cancer. Array recently received approval and launched BRAFTOVI (encorafenib) and MEKTOVI (binimetinib) for the treatment of patients with BRAF mutated melanoma. These products have also been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by the FDA for BRAF mutated CRC.


Array is expanding our Field Medical Team in anticipation of a potential second indication for encorafenib and binimetinib in BRAF mutant colorectal cancer. The team will also provide continued support for the combination in BRAF mutant melanoma and to our development pipeline. This is a unique opportunity help build out the Field Medical Team at Array. The MSL team will be on the front lines of the company's growth and will be part of a dynamic period in the company's history.

The field based Medical Science Liaison (MSL/Sr. MSL) role, reporting to the MSL Director, is an expert in the field and will focus on supporting launch activities, marketed products & pipeline agents as they enter clinical development. The MSL is responsible for developing partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in medicine, providing clinical support for brand plans, supporting the development of Array Biopharma compounds, and disseminating clinical information about Array's products to healthcare professionals and organizations. Will include training and/or mentoring other MSLs, and leadership roles as it pertains to special internal projects.


  • Establish and maintain scientifically credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with national, regional, and local opinion leaders in addition to other healthcare providers

  • Facilitate strategic partnerships with scientific/clinical experts and serve as point of contact with organizations including but not limited to

  • Guideline organizations (ASCO, NCCN)

  • Cooperative groups (SWOG, ECOG, Alliance, NRG Oncology)

  • Serve as a resource of clinical and scientific information for internal stakeholders

  • Provide impactful feedback/information to internal stakeholders on emerging clinical and scientific trends

  • Assist in the development and execution of clinically relevant regional medical meetings (eg, advisory boards, consultant, and investigator meetings)

  • Supports Clinical Development/Operation teams in identifying strategies/tactics for successful study execution

  • Serve as a liaison for the submission and review of Investigator Sponsored Trial proposals (ISTs)

  • Work cross-functionality to provide balanced and accurate information to top regional formulary decision makers and P&T committee members in conjunction with the market access team.

  • Assist in training and/or Mentor new MSL team members

  • Promote collaboration and cooperation within the team and cross-functionally

  • Demonstrate strategic planning and prioritization of work activities beyond defined geography

  • Ensure that all activities, interactions and communications are compliant with the policies and SOPs of Array Biopharma, and adheres to OIG, ACCME, and PhRMA guidelines/policies

Skills and Requirements


  • PharmD, PhD, MD preferred. Advanced degree Nurses, NPs, PAs, or those with a Master's degree in life sciences with commensurate pharmaceutical industry and clinical research experience will also be considered

  • 3+ years of as a Medical Science Liaison (or equivalent role) required

  • Oncology/Hematology therapeutic area experience required

  • Experience with melanoma and GI oncology preferred

  • Demonstrated ability in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (written as well as oral) skills

  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic cross functional environment

  • Drug launch support experience preferred

  • Experience working with managed care organizations and understanding of health economics preferred

  • Ability to travel (30-50%)

Perform general patient access and registration duties in EPIC Practice Management, such as, answer telephones, make appointments, process referrals, maintain provider templates and appointment schedules, verify patient demographics and insurance coverage. Perform general patient account management duties, such as, obtain prior authorization for services, process items in the appropriate work queues to complete registration and enter service capture data. Ensure patient accounts and coverage structures meet Kaiser Permanente standards and billing requirements of various payors. Function as liaison to Patient Financial Services and the Health Plan. Communicate with external government payors and employers, as necessary. Work directly with patients on billing related matters and provide fee estimates to patients for Kaiser Permanente services. May perform duties related to cash collection and depositing. Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills. Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. May act as the patients' first point of contact with Kaiser Permanente Essential Responsibilities: Patient Access and Registration: Answer phones; Perform appointment making processes; Complete accurate patient registration, such as, verification of patient demographics and payor coverage; Perform check-in, check-out, admit and discharge tasks; Build and maintain appointing templates; Perform MyGH set up verification; Communicate with patients via multiple channels; Process internal and external referrals. General Account Management:Confirm and set up payor coverage structures; Obtain prior authorization for services; Process appropriate items in the patient, claim edit and charge review work queues; Act as liaison to Patient Financial Services and the Health Plan; Communicate with external government payors and employers, as necessary; Perform manual service capture and data entry; Act as liaison to Health Information Management Coding Specialist for facility specific coding issues; Apply account review criteria and billing guidelines in preparation for off site billing of professional services; Provide fee estimates for KP services; Assist patients with billing questions. Cash Collection and Depositing: Collect co-pays and cost shares for services; Process refunds; Perform daily cash reconciliation and reporting for retail transactions; Process daily till closeout; Prepare bank documentation, combine and reconcile deposits of cashiers in the facility. Customer Service: Adhere to Kaiser Permanente behavior & appearance standards; Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills; Treat customers with courtesy and respect; Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements; May act as a guide when a patient accesses Kaiser Permanente services Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience in a business office within a medical care delivery, hospital, insurance or large contact center environment OR a minimum two (2) years of experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
