General Summary
Responsible for providing safe, quality, cost effective care for patients requiring intravenous therapy in the home or onsite setting.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

Use the nursing process to plan and provide patient/family care. This includes assessing and evaluating needs and implementing effective care plans which are kept up to date, evaluated and documented..
Coordinate patient care activities and maintain communication with other disciplines including nursing agency, pharmacist and physician.
Teach the patient/family about the patient's care needs and disease prevention.
Follow appropriate infection control measures.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Minimum of one-year experience in handling and administering "hazardous" medications (i.e. chemotherapies)
Minimum of one-year home health experience preferred
Registered Nurse, currently licensed by the state of Maryland
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider certification preferred
Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) credential preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
