POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: On-Call Resident Assistant Basic Function and Responsibility:
To assist in the cultivation and care of the residents Rejuvenating Women by providing a safe and secure environment that builds healthy community, and by providing a consistent example worthy of imitation that demonstrates the tangible love of Christ.
Specific Function and

Oversight of overnight house security to include the following:
Enforc e curfews, in-room policies, and lights-out policies, as well as all other program rules and policies.
Lock down the facility, including all outside doors and windows, and the staff office.
Set indoor/outdoor overnight lighting and turn off in the morning.
Close and lock all ground floor windows for the night.
Set the security alarm system for the night.
Conduct bed-checks during the night and log the results.
This should be reported weekly.
Turn of f the security alarm and open up the house in the morning.
Residential Management:
In addition to overnight security, the Resident Assistant is responsible for various management duties as follows: Daily Facility and Grounds Check Make note of any needed repair or mainten ance items and see that they are reported to appropriate staff.
Straighten up, as needed at night and in the morning so that the house is presentable at the start of the day.
Spot-check the resident chores to ensure that they are being done up to standards.
Non-compliance should be reported to supervisor immediately.
Kitchen/Dining Area Clean-up Check Kitchen and Dining areas before bed and after breakfast each morning to ensure that countertops, table, etc., are wiped down and tidy.
Check that chores are being done properly.
Organizing/Restocking of House Supplies Keep a running inventory of linens and house supplies on hand.
Arrange with the Program Director for ordering/purchasing as needed.
Maintain grocery lists for shopping purposes.
Check-in of New Residents Pick up and transport new Residents to the house, if necessary.
Perform a detailed search of ALL items brought with them.
Take a detailed inventory of all items brought with them, giving them only the things they are allowed to have during the program.
Provide a brief overview orientation, introducing them to the Staff and other Residents in the program.
Oversight of Residents in the house Check periodically to verify that all Residents not signed out are present.
Report any problems or non-compliance to supervisor.
Check on Resident activities in the house to ensure they are appropriately engaged in assigned duties or studies.
Maintain house standards by keeping house tidy.
Assist Residents in securing clothing from the in-house boutique . Report any unusual Resident behaviors to supervisor for follow-up.
Supervision of Residents away from the house Approve sign-out, clarify Residents plans, give authorizations to leave the house.
Conduct random Resident status checks to verify location using phone logs, sign-out sheets, etc.
Log all call-ins from Residents.
Take and deliver messages for Residents away from the house.
Administrative/Program Duties Coordinate any group activities during the shift (dinner, outings, etc.) Enforce house policies and guidelines; write log notes and Incident Reports when necessary.
Check personal living areas in dorm/bedrooms for cleanliness/orderliness.
Handle intake calls and inquiries, answering questions of women or their family members interested in the program.
Transport Residents to medical facilities for doctor appointments, assisting them with grants to get free health care, and filing their medical documents.
Grocer y shopping for the house weekly with appropriate staff.
Oversight of prescription and non-prescription drugs and making them available for Residents according to policy, logging all necessary information.
Maintain Incident Reports logs.
Maintain the Resident Daily logs, making sure that they are being filled out . Maintain Chore Chart and Laundry schedule, reporting any non-compliance to supervisor . Receive and sort mail according to policy.
Various household duties as required to maintain orderliness of the household.
Supervision Received:
Immediate supervision will come from House Manager or Clinical Director.
Supervision Exercised: Direct oversight of all residents in the Restored Wings Home.
Minimum qualifications: Must be female at least 2 2 years of age, who has demonstrated maturity in a self-directed lifestyle.
One (1) two (2) years experience in a similar position or program.
Must have demonstrated ability to carry authority and enforce policies and/or disciplines.
Must have demonstrated strong leadership qualities.
Must possess the ability to work comfortably within a team context.
Must function with a high degree of spiritual maturity and discipline.
Hours: Varies based on need.
A ll employees are expected to work: -P ast or before their scheduled shifts; -E venings; -W eekends; and -H olidays These instances include working at trade booths, community events, speaking engagements, attending trainings or workshops, etc.

Shift Schedule: Variable as needed Education and/or Experience - Possess a High School diploma or equivalent and demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergency situations. Must have one year of paid work experience. Summary: Monitors the custody, security, control, and maintenance of the facility and residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors Residents - Observes, documents, and ensures the accountability of all residents while within the facility and in the community by enforcing all rules, responsibilities, and restrictions assigned to residents. Provides control and documentation of transactions regarding all money, subsistence, medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls. Assists with managing program services - Assists and supports Counselors, with resident programming that may include but not be limited to: installing electronic monitoring equipment, visiting residents in the homes and places of employment; and providing alcohol and urine surveillance testing. Monitors Facility - Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain the health, safety and accountability of the residents.
