What will I be responsible for in this job? (brief summary of the role)

The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for leading the onboarding of new clients and existing client upsells. The Onboarding Specialist serves as a client-centric, client-facing resource and lead point of contact throughout the onboarding process. This individual will mitigate client and internal risks through comprehensive understanding of all downstream impacts of onboarding components. This includes coordinating with the client and multiple internal teams to successfully complete the onboarding project plan.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the onboarding project plan and facilitate the onboarding phase for new clients and upsell opportunities for existing clients.

  • Acts as liaison between the client and multiple internal teams

  • Establish the project timeline by developing the project scope and plan.

  • Maintain overall accountability for onboarding client satisfaction

  • Use strong industry knowledge to provide consultative services to the client

  • Provide regular communication to management regarding risks and client feedback

  • Communicate with clients via face-to-face meetings, conference calls and written correspondence

  • Interfaces with internal CHC departments

  • Understands the eligibility and pharmacy claims adjudication process

  • Monitor performance guarantees/Service Level Agreements

  • Participate in best and final sales support as appropriate

  • Travel to client sites may be required

  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures, general business periodicals and professional journals

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, management and technical associates

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and technical specifications

  • Ability to solve practical issues and deal with many variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Good mathematical ability

  • Experience with various software products

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Project management skills

MINIMUM JOB Qualifications

Education / Training:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Business Experience:

  • 5+ years of Onboarding or Client Service experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years of experience with the healthcare industry

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Strong oral and written communication

  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks

  • Ability to work in self-motivated environment with limited supervision

  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

  • Organized

  • Detail Oriented

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Work well with others

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Remote position. Can be based from any state but must work eastern time zone business hours.

  • Interest and ability to travel nationally, at minimum 25% of the time

As a Diabetes PrimaryCare Sales Specialist inHudson, OH, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. AstraZeneca's strategy in CVMD is a patient-centric approach to disease treatment, so we are tackling multiple risk factors by uniting our cardiovascular (CV), metabolic and chronic kidney disease (CKD) areas into one integrated approach – cardiovascular and metabolic disease (CVMD). This approach means we look at the CVMD patient as a whole, rather than by disease area, because we know that cardiovascular disease is a well-known consequence of diabetes and CKD. Each of ours focus areas seek to further reduce morbidity, mortality and organ damage by addressing multiple risk factors across cardiovascular (CV) disease, diabetes and chronic kidney-disease indications. The patient-centric approach is reinforced by science-led life-cycle management programs and technologies, including early research into regenerative methods. Main Duties and Responsibilities: You will develop superior product and disease state knowledge and effectively educate and engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients. You will function independently with a high degree of sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations. You will successfully complete training requirements, including product examinations. By developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information relative to your assigned sales territory, you will be able to work with your Regional Sales Director and District Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to generate recognizable increases of sales in your territory. You will capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of the Strategic Targeting Plans by using a wide variety of promotional, personnel resources and analytical tools to maximize effectiveness in assigned sales territory, based on local assessment of customer needs. You will provide special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs that fall within AstraZeneca's ethical guidelines. Work with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists around common objectives to coordinate selling efforts.
