We want our employees to experience Root's excellence prior to their first day and we are looking for an Onboarding Coordinator to be the face of this experience - from the days leading up to joining us and all the way through the onboarding period.
Manage the Employee Onboarding process from start to finish.
Initiate the onboarding process and serve as the main point-of-contact for all current/future onboarding employees.
Input new hires into HRIS software.
Complete I-9 & E-Verify checks in accordance with federal guidelines.
Manage onboarding flow by maintaining new hire tracking documents.
Assist with employee set up in payroll software.
Lead Onboarding Sessions meant to formally introduce new employees to Root-specific benefits, procedures, policies and culture.
Develop new processes, when necessary, to keep the onboarding flow as efficient as possible.
Desired Skills and Mindset
Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
Must be comfortable with public speaking in small-to-medium sized groups.
2+ years' experience in Onboarding or Human Resources leaning role.
Self-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior leadership.
A high-level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
A desire to seek out opportunities for self-development and continuing education.
Drive to go above and beyond prescribed duties as and when required.
