On-Air Talent

Produces and executes on-air radio show that is both entertaining and informative to the listening audience.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Must have at least 2 years prior experience as on-air morning show host for morning show host position. Must have at least 2 years on-air experience for all other on-air positions. An equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Writes script, contests and interview questions.

  • Memorizes script, reads, or ad-libs to identify station, introduce and close shows, and announce station breaks, commercials, or public service information.

  • Prepares and creates a topical show by gathering information from wire copy, periodicals, computer and television.

  • Reads news flash to keep audience informed of important events.

  • Records interviews of guest, musical or other famous or public personalities, and edits interviews.

  • Interviews guest, and moderates panel or discussion show to entertain audience.

  • Answers phone lines and interviews members of listening audience who telephone musical requests. Airs contests according to the specifications of the program director.

  • Plans and stages community events, including hosting and assisting at charity functions.

  • Attends live, in-person appearances as scheduled by the station or requested by clients.

  • Provides live reports from site of event.

  • Maintains and builds a positive cooperative attitude within the station and a strong personal community involvement.

  • Sets up equipment for broadcasts and promotions at station remotes.

  • Ensures logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station's operations are aired.

  • Operates control console.

  • Performs commercial production.

  • Follows and enforces FCC regulations, station and company policies, including implementing station's / state's EAS procedures.

  • Performs additional duties in small stations, such as production, assisting program director or music director, operating radio transmitter or writing advertising copy. Plays music as specified by music director and music log.

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-17T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE The Home Services Project Specialist (HSPS) is responsible for the sales and marketing of the specific Home Services Install programs within Home Depot stores they are assigned to work. They are to work closely with their Sales Consultant and Sales Managers to generate quality leads for and drive awareness of the programs in store. The HS Project Specialist will also attend store events, home shows, and other lead events when scheduled. This is a part-time entry position requiring an outgoing personality to build strong relationships and excellent customer service skills, and the first step to a career path in sales, retail and or marketing with Home Depot. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 75%-Meets or exceeds established productivity goals by generating quality leads for each Home Services install program assigned. Approaches customers within the store, introducing them to Home Services programs, and pre-qualifying the customer and scheduling a free in home consultation. Provides accurate product information to the customer. 10%-Work with Home Depot store associates and management to maintain a positive working relationship. 5%-Set-up and break down a store display in locations that allow it and help maintain the selling center with needed brochures and materials. Ensure the program displays are clean and literature are in stock for customers. 5%-Attend store events and home shows to promote Home Services business to attendees. 5%-Other job duties as assigned by manager. NATURE AND SCOPE This position reports to Manager, Lead Generation (MLG)/Lead Generation Manager. This position has no Direct Reports ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 1 years Physical Requirements: Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds). Additional Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge or experience in the home improvement, retail or telemarketing field.
