Job Overview:

WYXB-FM and WLHK-FM are looking for part time on-air personalities to produce and execute an entertaining and informative show.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researches and gathers data for on-air show topics and discussions.

  • Writes script, contest and interview questions. Produces commercial spots.

  • Coordinates and brainstorms creative ideas with show host and/or Program Director.

  • Makes personal appearances as needed and assists with promotions, commercials, liners, syndicated material and other on-air elements.

  • Reads news flash to keep audience informed of important events.

  • Records interviews of guest, musical or other famous or public personalities, and edits interviews.

  • Interviews guest, and moderates panel or discussion show to entertain audience.

  • Answer phone lines and interviews members of listening audience who telephone musical requests. Airs contest according to the specifications of the program director.

  • Provides on-air support by hosting/co-hosting shows as assigned or in the absence of on-air talent.

  • Attends live, in-person appearances as scheduled by the station or requested by clients.

  • Provides live reports from site of event.

  • Maintains and builds a positive cooperative attitude within the station and a strong personal community involvement.

  • Sets up equipment for broadcasts and promotions at station remotes

  • Ensures logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station's operation are aired.

  • Operates control board during on-air broadcasts.

  • Performs commercial production.

  • Follow and enforces FCC regulations, station and company polices, including implementing station's/state's EAS procedures.

  • Performs additional duties in small stations, such as production, assisting program director or music director, operating radio transmitter or writing advertising copy.

Team Leaders are required to spend significant time on the floor, engaging with customers, and pitching in to help whenever and wherever needed. All positions must strive to support WFM core values and goals, promote national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, and ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.Responsibilities * Prepares food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets. * Prepares food items according to recipe to ensure quality and consistency. * Ensures that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated. * Monitors food levels and replenishes in a timely manner. * Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings. * Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously. * Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product. * Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices. * Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards; ensures walk-ins and freezers are clean and organized. * Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing. * Immediately reports safety hazards and violations. * Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
