Responsible for general supervision and coordination of the activities of nursing personnel on days, evening, nights, and on weekends and holidays, in order to ensure quality and continuity of patient care; accepts and supports the philosophy, purpose and objectives of Baptist Health and the Department of Nursing.

  • Position requires successful passage of RN examination and a current AL RN license.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

  • BLS.

  • Additional specialty certification per P and P for assigned unit (PALS, ACLS, etc.).

  • Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

  • Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS);

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS));

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS))

Medical Assistant should provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner; assists in delivery of patient education; responsible for communication of patient information to and from physician; assumes various job tasks as assigned. Responsible for direct, individualized, goal directed patient care under the supervision of Physician. * High School Graduate or equivalent required * Medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting, (Ex: clinical lab, physician's office, Emergency Medical Tech., etc.). * Medical Training: LPN, Lab, Radiology, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Physician Office. * Knowledge of the following equipment: Glucometer, PT INR machine, wheel chair, and thermometers. * Knowledge of the following test: urinalysis and EKG. * Organizational skills. * Oral and written communication and computer skills. * Customer services skills. * Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and coworkers. * Ability to show proficiency by passing all written and clinical test. * Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of position.
