Your Purpose

As an On-call Customer Service Assistant you'll contribute to a team that helps welcome new and existing customers, genuinely getting to know them to help with their financial and service needs via a choice of channels. You'll focus on helping our customers by developing long term relationships through extraordinary personal service.

Delivering an excellent customer experience will be key, ensuring all customers are dealt with efficiently and expertly. You're there to ensure fair outcomes for all customers including those that are vulnerable and make appropriate referrals to the right person or channel of choice. By modeling the Group Values, Behaviours and Code of Responsibility you'll help us deliver excellence.

Being our customers' first point of contact - - a dependable, trustworthy person in the branch will be critical. Working across several branches you'll develop new relationships, build a network to support your future career and see first-hand the impact you can have.

Your Hours

Being employed on a 12-month, fixed-term contract, working 15 hours a month, with the possibility of working up to an extra 40 hours. You'll work various hours which will typically cover our customers peak demand times, as well as during holiday periods.

Because customers visit several branches, we need you to work flexibly as part of a dedicated team across different branches in the local area.

Our branches are open at varying times Monday to Saturday (with some opening Sundays). To ensure we can support our customers when they need us so your flexibility will be needed at key times.

Because we value your flexibility, we'll do our best to facilitate working hours that are suitable to both you and the business.

We have advertised our full-time salary, however, this will be pro-rata for reduced hours working.

Open until filled GENERAL STATEMENT: Under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Director, and Recreation Programmer, supervises the on-site delivery of the Day Camp program in an elementary or middle school setting. Supervises both camp staff and children, using good management techniques; ensures a safe environment in the school, and encourages good health and safety practices; provide children with a variety of enriching experiences, with a good balance between free choice and planned curriculum activities: indoor and outdoor play, sports and games, arts and crafts, field trips, and more. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plans, coordinates, and supervises programs and activities for the Day Camp program with the Recreation Programmer and Recreation Director. * Plan daily activities utilizing available resources and materials, and ensuring staff has clear instructions. * Schedule and plan staff trainings and regular staff meetings. * Provide direction for camp counselors, and head counselor, as well as ensures compliance with required policies, procedures, and regulations, documenting and addressing issues as needed with staff. * Work with Recreation Programmer to determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow; study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. * Collect and maintain camper, staff and field trip records. * Ensure parents and staff receive schedules, menus, and reminders in a timely and organized manner. * Address behavior, safety and health issues with parents in a respectful and professional manner, regarding camp attendees. * Attend all required meetings, trainings, and in-services brought forth by the Recreation Programmer, and Parks & Recreation Director. * Maintain positive interpersonal relations among everyone involved in the Day Camp program; including children, parents, school staff, camp counselors, Recreation Programmer and Parks & Recreation Director. * Maintain related records and forms for programs and personnel at the Day Camps; prepares and verifies attendance and accident/incident reports and submits to the Recreation Programmer in a timely manner; process paperwork completed, in an accurate and timely manner. * Must be able to work Monday-Friday with some weekend trainings required; Must work all day schedule: 6:15 am 7:00 pm. * Performs all other duties as duly assigned by the Parks & Recreation Director, and Recreation Programmer Must exemplify the Team Kyle Core Roles as an Employee by: Knowledge - Knowledgeable in all aspects of job and City operations; maintains high quality of work; follows health and safety guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Must be at least 21 years of age or older and have graduated from high school or obtained a GED equivalent; * A minimum of two (2) year professional experience in childcare and/or youth recreation programs is required; * Enrollment (graduate preferred) in an accredited two or four-year college or university with a degree in Recreation, Education, Human Development, Child Development, or other related field or two or more years of professional related experience in childcare, recreation, or other related areas; * At least one (1) year of supervisory experience is required; * OR Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered, excluding the certifications. * Must possess or be able to obtain certifications in Adult and Child CPR & Standard First Aid and American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue (before camp starts). * Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
