Overview

Assist Banquet Manager in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, serviceware and glassware.

  • Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.

  • Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.

  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.

  • Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.

  • Once banquet is complete, reset banquet room according to Supervisor's specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.

  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Hotel experience preferred.

  • Can communicate well with guests.

  • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and serviceware.

  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.

  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.

  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

The Customer Care Representative will provide customers with the status or resolution of pending requests or claims they have with Amerant Bank. This will include communication scripts, handling different issues, and acting as a liaison between Amerant Bank and our customers. Duties and responsibilities include: * Reviewing required account documentation and information to ensure completeness and accuracy of customers' cases. * Effectively managing risk by fully adhering to processes/policies/procedures and proactively identifying and escalating potential risks. * Verbally delivering complex information clearly, concisely to the client/recipient. * Must possess the skills to navigate between multiple screens and keep the client/recipient fully engaged, while quickly and accurately typing relevant notes and information. * Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, adapt and become highly efficient on new and/or changing systems, applications, policies and procedures. * Excellent customer service skills. * Banking & finance products knowledge entry level required. * Must have high telephone service skills. Hours: Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 am Functional Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Must be a team player, have the ability to work under pressure, have a professional image and be able to resolve problems and conflicts. Must possess basic business communications skills such as advanced writing, listening and have basic office and mathematics skills, and customer service skills. Possession of professional skills such as report writing, basic statistics, effective presentation skills and creative skills are required. Must possess Delegation and Grid Development skills as well as Supervisory, motivational and coaching skills. Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent reading and writing skills. Minimum Work Experience Requirements: Two or more years of supervisory experience in a high volume call center. Thorough banking knowledge, as well as strong leadership and organizational skills. Must be flexible with work schedule. Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge: Excellent computer skills in the Windows environment. Strong written, verbal persuasion and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines as well as make quick decisions in stressful conditions. In depth knowledge of Service Quality for customer related issues. Excellent troubleshooting and time management skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
