JOB DESCRIPTION

The Merchandise Planning organization is responsible for the strategic planning of inventory positions to drive sales, manage inventory turn, and deliver profit objectives. Inventory leaders are innovators, optimizers and problem solvers who are constantly seeking opportunities to move the business forward. The team is currently undergoing training and implementation on an exciting new software suite to allow better management of all inventory metrics and critical in this role is adoption to the system to scale the Brand. We seek a candidate who loves using data to tell the story and a team player who goes above and beyond. The role is within one of the most complex and high-visibility categories, offering exposure to leadership and opportunity to have a big impact. The successful candidate will be curious, motivated and will think outside the box, challenging the status quo.

  • Plan and manage a department through the entire product life cycle:

  • create and present pre-season plans through investment review process

  • manage monthly open to buy to drive sales and margin while achieving inventory turn targets

  • forecast and review buys and replenishment by sku to maintain optimum inventory flow

  • utilize planning software system to forecast sales and manage replenishment

  • partner with the Distribution Planning team to develop allocation strategies and with the E-commerce team on site merchandising opportunities

  • identify potential inventory opportunities or liabilities and take strategic action as needed

  • Key in this role:

  • build a team relationship with Merchant counterparts to develop and execute merchandise plans by department

  • ability to analyze the business day to day through reading and reacting to trends, and communicate actions to take

  • develop and provide appropriate business analysis to influence purchases and assortment strategies

  • be an integral partner with Visual, Store Operations, Sourcing, and the Distributions Centers

  • act like an owner, being the expert on everything relating to the sales, inventory and margin for your department

  • In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, planners are encouraged to take on stretch assignments that expose you to other divisions and afford you a more well-rounded perspective. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years planning and/or distribution experience

  • Strong business acumen, financial analysis, and technical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment

  • Superior written, communication, presentation, and listening skills

The Product Coordinator/Photo associate solely supports the Photo team needs in the picking of orders, receiving of samples and management of the photo inventory. This role will interact and provide support to all levels of associates within the organization. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively and is deadline driven. Essential Functions: * Manages the daily order picking and delivery for the photo team * Assign orders and returns to the photo library team. * Responsible for entering new textile/dec acc samples into M4N within 24 hours of receipt + moving to its warehouse location. * Manage the Photo Returns area. Returning samples to their appropriate location within 24 hours of receipt. * Responsible for the removal of trash in dumpsters to the loading area for scheduled pick ups. General * Execute product review setup and breakdown as directed. Including the assembly of design samples for product review. * Inventory Audit -- * Cycle count assigned category time frame and report findings to Shipping Lead. * Ensure rack/bin space is being properly utilized by condensing + repacking as directed. * Accountable for daily e-mails -- responding to requests via e-mail within 2 hours. * Break down of corrugate + ensure trash is not left in open areas at days end. * Sample Handling + Transportation -- Ensure all samples are handled to the standard set by management. * Ensure all hallways + fire exits are clear at all times. * Assist with the loading + unloading of the Corporate truck. * Provide cross training to gain knowledge on different functions within the department.
