Preferred Qualifications

Job Duties

Job Duties

Percent of total time 65 Duties

Plan and execute the logistics for programs and activities for the International Programs office. These programs include, but are not limited to New International Student Orientation (3-4/year), Educational information sessions, Study Abroad sessions, professional training programs, and cultural programs. Other department staff will assist and will be the presenters/leads of the various sessions. Responsibilities include:

  • Create agendas and schedules;

  • Reserve Rooms;

  • Order food;

  • Book transportation, purchase tickets, and manage other logistics for excursions and off-campus events;

  • Order supplies;

  • Set up events;

  • Secure speakers/facilitators for events;

  • Create events on calendars and send out announcements and reminders;

  • Send out communications to attendees;

  • Print, photocopy, file, and other activities related to event planning;

  • Attend excursions and assisting with event activities;

  • Drive students/guests (in university van) for some events and activities, when a driver is needed.

Percent of total time 10 Duties

Assist with visitor and trip logistics. Responsibilities include:

  • Create agendas and schedules for visits;

  • Create/print welcome/information packets;

  • Order food, reserve rooms, reserve parking, and other related logistics;

  • Invite guests to meetings, create calendar invites, and schedule events;

  • Assist with creating international itineraries, booking hotels, and booking transportation.

Percent of total time 20 Duties

Plan and execute the logistics for summer camps. Responsibilities include:

  • Sending marketing materials to partners and updating website;

  • Sending inquiries to partners regarding interest;

  • Create agendas and schedules;

  • Reserve Rooms;

  • Order food;

  • Book transportation, purchase tickets, and manage other logistics for excursions and off-campus events;

  • Order supplies;

  • Set up events;

  • Secure speakers/facilitators for events;

  • Create events on calendars and send out announcements and reminders;

  • Send out communications to attendees;

  • Print, photocopy, file, and other activities related to event planning;

  • Attend excursions and assisting with event activities;

  • Drive students/guests (in university van) for some events and activities, when a driver is needed;

  • Manage housing and meal plans.

Percent of total time 10 Duties

This position will assist with other activities as designated and assigned by supervisor. Additional assignments may include assistance with IEP programs, maintaining and updating records and data, assisting with student walk-ins, and other duties as assigned.
