The Opportunity

Our facility based out of Norcross, GA is hiring. As an Oil Route Sales Driver (Class B CDL) you will be responsible for picking up waste oil at customer locations such as garages, automotive dealerships, quick change oil companies, fleet maintenance facilities, bus companies, airports and rental car companies. You may operate a Class B Tanker Truck or Box Truck.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Ability to pump out tanks and drums using hoses similar to a heating oil truck;

  • Promote and up-sell at customer locations and generate new clients/leads in the field.

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Class B CDL License;

  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred;

  • Previous sales background preferred;

  • Previous customer service background is required;

  • Must be able to attend a two week fully paid training program out of state!

Route/Activity – Truck drivers are responsible delivering pallets of newspapers to branch offices in metro Atlanta and Birmingham, AL. This is a casual driver position up to 20 hours per week. Schedule – The newspaper is a 365 days a year perishable commodity. Being able to work on holidays is required. Peak season is the entire month of November. Must be able to work additionally and as needed during the Thanksgiving holiday. Equipment – Freightliner and Volvo Day Cabs with 48' & 53' Dry Van Trailers. Some straight truck work. Compensation – $18.56 per hour Responsibilities: * Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck. * Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment. * Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. * Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. * Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery. Qualifications: Job Qualifications: * At least 23 years of age * CDL Class A license required * 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years * 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents * Reliable and customer oriented * Safety oriented * Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job * Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
