Psomas, one of the top-ranked consulting engineering firms in the nation, providing surveying, engineering, construction management and environmental services throughout the Western United States, has an opening for an Office/Field Engineer with our Construction Management Team in Livermore.
As an Office/Field Engineer with our Water/Wastewater team in Livermore, you will utilize your expertise to help develop and maintain the project administration records while understanding client goals, establishing effective client relationships, and supporting the team to achieve set goals
Providing technical support of field construction matters
Observing on-site construction activities
Processing project communications between contractor client and designer
Maintaining project files, project documents and as-built schedules
Assisting with document interpretation of project plans and specifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
2-5 years' related experience as an Office/Field Engineer
Knowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; with cloud-based Construction Management software
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and manage deadlines
Ability to work on-site in a construction trailer or building where exposure to heights, ability to walk on uneven surface, stand, climb ladders, crawl, stoop, enter confined spaces, tolerate heat, cold, dirt, odors, wastewater, chemicals and other construction hazards that may exist
