OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING) - GENERAL SERVICES

The Department of State Hospitals

  • Napa, General Services is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time/Permanent Office Technician (Typing). The successful candidate will work as a team member in the Transportation office reporting to the Automotive Pool Manager II. The Office Technician will provide clerical support services such as time keeping, data entry, maintaining electronic logs, typing correspondence, maintain and update Excel reports, taking and preparing minutes of meetings and other duties.

    Attendance, punctuality, attitude and customer skills are important characteristics. Only the most qualified applicants will be selected for an interview.

Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Multiple cut-off dates are set for application submission:

April 5, 2024, May 7, 2024, June 7, 2024. Applications received after a cut-off date will be processed for the next cut-off.

Typing Certificate:

A typing certificate is required with your application. Refer below for additional information.

  • Duties Performed and Supervisor's name and Contact information must be completed on the STD 678 - Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Attach a copy of your typing certificate.

  • Attach a copy of proof of degree and transcripts if education is required to meet the minimum qualification. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated and submitted with application STD 678.

  • If applicable, you must include copies of any documents that will support you meet the minimum qualifications for this classification (e.g. Training and Development Assignment or out of class experience approved and documented in your Department's Personnel Office). Failure to do so may disqualify you from this process.

You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Typing Certificate
