PERMANENT, FULL TIME OFFICE TECHNICAN (TYPING)-TRAINING & EDUCATION CENTER

The Training & Education Center is accepting applications for a full time, permanent Office Technician (typing) position. The applicant should be able to perform clerical work, including ability to spell correctly; use good English; make arithmetical computations, operate various office machines, follow oral and written directions; evaluate situations accurately and take effective action.

Make clear and comprehensive reports and keep records; meet and deal tactfully with the public; apply specific laws, rules and office polices and procedures; prepare correspondence independently, communicate effectively. A duty statement is attached.

TO APPLY: You must first establish your eligibility by passing an exam for this position. Part of the exam process will also be electronically filling out the STD 678 Employment Application in its entirety and include

Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres.   • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.

A typing certificate is required with your application. We will honor typing certificates issued within the last four (4) years and certified from a five (5) minutes typing test, with a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Acceptable Certificates are from the following entities: Any CA State Agency/Department; The Employment Development Department's (EDD) One-Stop Career Centers may offer free typing tests.
