Metropolitan State Hospital is located in the city of Norwalk.

DSH-Metropolitan State Hospital, Human Resources-Selection Services Unit is currently accepting applications for Office Technician (Typing) permanent, full-time vacancy. Working Title: Office Technician (Typing) - HR-Exams/Selections.

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager II or designee, the Office Technician (Typing) performs a wide variety of clerical and typing-related duties.

Key skills: Ability to apply excellent customer service skills and abilities while interacting with MSH employees and the public on the phone and in person; ability to type correspondence and forms and work in a dynamic Exams & Selection Unit while using various internal and external databases and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.; ability to work in a highly secure and confidential working environment; and assist with various clerical and office tasks.

Desirable qualifications: the department is seeking a team player with excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently while performing repetitive work, multi-task, and read and write English at a level required for successful job performance.
