Posting Identification Number 41602 - IPR 45489 Position Overview This position is accountable for assisting in the development and monitoring the District Operations budget, performing various routine administrative functions, which aid in the efficient operation of the Bureau of Operations, training, and support for the Asset Management Program (AMP) system, and assisting in the prompt handling of emergencies. Essential Functions Handles routine administrative functions daily, includes auditing timecards, maintaining inventories, monitoring manpower, equipment, and material usage, providing initial budget recommendations, monitoring of budget allotments, and preparing reports.

Maintains accurate records of salt usage during periods of snow removal, order salt as required, and schedule deliveries. Coordinates district Operations time reporting with district Bureau of Administration to ensure that payrolls are developed on a timely and accurate basis. Provides support, training, administration, and maintenance for the AMP system, and assists the liaison to the central Bureau of Operations and Business Services.

Assists in the prompt handling of emergencies, complaints from the public or elected officials and with the operation of the communication center during snow and ice and emergency operations. Develops new methods and procedures for monitoring Bureau of Operation's needs. Administer assigned programs and duties efficiently.

Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or a job related technical/science curriculum PLUS five years of engineering experience OR seven years of engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of inventory control, budgetary practices and management of communications equipment. Ability to supervise a staff engaged in maintenance and inventory functions.
