Position Title: Office Supervisor

Department: USST-Company Stores

Status: Seasonal

Reports to: District Manager of Company Stores

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Position Purpose

Office Supervisors are responsible for overseeing daily operations of a specific retail tax location. This position manages store employees and is responsible to meet business objectives as set out by the corporate office.

Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
1.Recruit, train and manage staff
2.Implement the authorized Marketing plan
3.Ensure client receives exceptional customer service
4.Generate and transmit daily operational reports
5.Prepare taxes as needed

Position Qualifications
1.Solid organizational and time management skills
2.Ability to delegate and provide coaching
3.Ability to manage and motivate others in a fast paced business environment
4.Exceptional communication skills
5.Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and within a team
6.Flexible to work nights and weekends as necessary
7.1-2 years of tax preparation experience is required
8.Required PTIN eligibility

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position requires working in an office atmosphere and supervising office employees (Tax Preparers, Costume Wavers, and Office Employees).

VIEW JOBS 2/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-22T00:00 The Coordinator for Student Engagement is charged with developing programs and services designed to facilitate student involvement, enhance the overall student experience and positively impact student retention/satisfaction. The individual in this role provides direction and leadership to major student programming initiatives on campus by serving as the primary advisor for the Homecoming Student Steering Committee. This position will also support marketing efforts for the office through social media and digital marketing. The individual in this position will assist the Assistant Director for Student Engagement with the day-to-day operations needed to support the Student Engagement Events Team and other large-scale campus programs and will supervise the Graduate Assistant for Student Engagement. This position requires evening and weekend hours. Duties include: Campus Programming and Traditions Lead the development and implementation of meaningful and inspiring student traditions; provide leadership development and support to the student committee members; work collaboratively with the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, Communications & Marketing and Chattanooga Athletics to plan Homecoming and manage communication with university stakeholders; provide budgetary oversight for the Homecoming budget; negotiate contracts with performers and vendors; ensure expenditures are appropriate and in compliance with the University Fiscal Policies; and provide on-site supervision at the programs organized by these groups. Marketing Serve as primary manager for office social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; develop regular content on all social media platforms to market office efforts and engage students; maintain compliance with the UTC Social Media Policy, Editorial and Style Guidelines, and Graphic Guidelines; serve as primary moderator for the Scrappy Listserv, the all-student email listserv, by determining which information submitted by campus partners is shared widely with students; and create and distribute the Scrappy Newsletter, a weekly e-newsletter that communicates campus events and announcements to students. Additional Responsibilities Manage the Elections function in MocSync for various campus needs, including updating candidate and eligibility lists; assist with other events/programs sponsored by the Office of Student and Family Engagement and other units within the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs; stay abreast of current trends related to student leadership, programming, and social media marketing; and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess the following: * Knowledge of issues and challenges facing undergraduate students. * Knowledge of leadership development concepts * Experience with event planning, contract negotiation, leadership development, budget development and management, and motivating students * Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to take initiative and work independently in setting priorities to ensure that responsibilities are carried out in an accurate and timely fashion * Ability and willingness to function as a member of a team * Commitment to continued personal and professional development * Ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff and community members of diverse backgrounds.
