Providence is calling an Office Staff Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Medical Group Providence Professional Plaza in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Manage the non-clinical functions of the clinic (i.e., reception/registration, phones, appointments, and medical records).

  • Supervise the business operations and activities of the clinic.

  • Ensure that all non-clinical services within the clinic are provided in a timely and accurate manner which is sensitive to the patient's physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a progressive leadership role in a clinic setting

  • Strong written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare environment, medical office policies and procedures, and human resource management practices

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • College level healthcare management course work

  • Experience with Windows and Excel-based software

  • Previous supervisory experience

In this position, you will: * Coordinate and manage the clinical support staff and the clinical workflows and activities within the clinic. * Function as an integral member of the clinic leadership team, bringing the professional nursing perspective to the group while upholding the standards of nursing practice. * Oversee the care provided by clinical support staff and initiate efforts to improve the quality and skill levels of the clinical staff members. * Lead clinical staff to ensure that patient care services are provided in an efficient, safe, and timely manner that is sensitive to the patient's physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. * Ensure compliance with established clinic policies and procedures.
