General Summary: This position is located in downtown Minneapolis. Hours are 8:00 - 4:30 M-F with an unpaid 30 minute meal break.

Working Conditions: Copy / mail center environment on client's offices. Business casual environment.

This job position is responsible for providing office services support to Metro's FM and Document Services clients. This position also supports Metro's internal office services needs including mailing services, scanning services, and other duties as assigned or directed by the FM / Document Services Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work at the assigned FM account providing services as outlined in the FM contract, i.e., copy, mail, scanning, may cover receptionist for breaks, inventory mgmt., reporting usage by cost center, etc.

  • Provide daily services on the client's premises to the end-users.

  • Track activity for internal department charge-back purposes. Input relevant transaction details into a billing software package or other method for audit purposes.

  • Submit monthly records of billable activity to the FM manager.

  • Maintain / order necessary consumable supplies for production purposes.

  • Track and report monthly metered activity on the equipment at work location.

  • Support copier, facsimile, printer and any other equipment that Metro may have at the site by servicing as needed, trouble shooting service issues, and placing service calls as needed to ensure the equipment is in good working order.

  • Support Metro's marketing efforts by informing customers of additional services available to them through Metro's Document Services Department.

  • Act as Metro's liaison with Metro's management, sales, service, dispatch, and other employees as needed to assist them with their servicing efforts to the client.

  • Serve as Metro's on-site "Ambassador" to ensure all client needs are addressed in a timely and professional manor.

Required Skills

  • Must be able to communicate well with various end-users. Trouble shoot equipment to maintain maximum up-time. Must have good attention to detail for image quality, proper color tones, pagination, etc.

  • Must be able to handle a 50 box of paper carefully to avoid injury.

  • Must be able to assist clients with their requests in a timely manor and be able to multi-task as and when needed.

  • Ability to maintain poise under pressure and to contact support help as and when needed.

  • Ability to work in an off-site environment with no day to day in-person supervision from management.

  • Professional appearance and communication skills are important in this position.

Required Experience

High School Graduate and beyond preferred. Former copy center or mail center experience a plus. Familiar with PC's, Outlook, e-mail, excel is desirable.
