Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Office Services Coordinator within our Houston Office Services department based in Houston, Texas.

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Incoming and Outgoing mail: receiving, sorting, coordinating, and processing USPS, Federal Express, UPS, Interoffice mail, shipments, etc., in a timely manner to ensure delivery to employees within the Oxy Permian Plaza office.

  • Ability to stage conference rooms given diagrams. (Moving tables and chairs, tidying room, wiring power and data)

  • Taking inventory, reordering and restocking kitchen and mailroom supplies.

  • Provide assistance to all Oxy Facilities functions. (Special Events, Health Fairs, Employee Engagement)

  • Ability to lift and carry 40-70 lbs. (maximum weight of a standard shipping box)

  • Ability to stand, stoop, walk, climb and remain on one's feet for extended periods of time (may be entire work day), visual acuity, sorting and stressful physical activity

  • Must be able to work overtime as required in support of flexible daily office services schedule and project schedules.


  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree and Lean or similar process improvement certifications preferred.

  • Must have 10 to 15 years of overall work experience with demonstrable growth in scope and responsibility.

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring other individuals to conduct workshops independently.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must also be able to influence through exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle various strategic demands simultaneously.

  • Ability to use tact, judgment and diplomacy in difficult situations.

  • Ability to facilitate an executive team in a variety of scenarios.

  • Adheres to highest models and standards of behavior.

  • Ability to supervise, encourage and retain talented direct reports.

  • Ability to carry large scale improvement initiatives through constraints and resistance.

  • Ability to discern abstract opportunities and properly prioritize them.

  • Understanding of application of ideal principles in the real world.

Position Summary: The Office Coordinator provides administrative and secretarial support for a department or group of individuals. Essential Duties: * Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: coordinating meetings; ordering supplies and equipment; and coordinating other assistants and clerical staff. * While this position coordinates and executes administrative tasks, substantial time is spent performing secretarial duties. Required: * High school diploma and 5 years of related experience required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.
