This position will act as receptionist for the Spiritual Care Department by assisting Chaplains with administrative tasks, scheduling meetings and performing general office duties. Applicants should have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, ability to learn departmental software applications and be proficient in data entry and written and verbal communications.

Due to the nature of this position, a background check is required prior to an offer of employment.

Qualifications:

Minimally-qualified applicants will have experience:

  • Providing administrative support (e.g., proofreading, relaying information, compiling and preparing information, collecting data, organizing and prioritizing, etc.); and

  • Performing data entry; and

  • Using computer applications (e.g., maintaining databases and/or word processing templates, preparing and transmitting electronic correspondence, etc.); and

  • With professional communication.

Well-qualified applicants will also have experience:

Scheduling meetings (e.g., preparing meeting minutes and agendas) Familiar with procurement procedure (e.g. purchasing supplies, processing payments/invoices).

Responsibilities include: providing basic nursing care following a written care plan to help meet the therapeutic, preventative, restorative, spiritual, psychosocial, cognitive and rehabilitative needs of the members. This includes some cognitive techniques to help maintain the demented member at the highest functional level. This position works as an integral part of the health care team under the direct/close supervision of a Nursing Supervisor, under the direction of licensed nursing staff. Nursing Assistant Trainee's must be able to assist with mobility efforts; wear protective clothing and use special safety equipment; lift, carry, push, pull, reach, stand, sit, kneel, squat; stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight hour day.
