Job Details

Reports to supervising physician(s) and designated manager. Works under continuous supervision and clinical guidance of the practice physician(s). Engages in the practices constituting the practice of medicine in collaboration with and under the medical direction and supervision of a licensed physician.

Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services to support the medical practice with effective utilization of healthcare resources. Demonstrates excellence in practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education and Training Minimum: Advanced professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Current State license as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) / Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or PNP/FNP Applicant. 3 5 years of pediatric experience preferred. Meets and maintains state licensure, certification and/or educational requirements as a Nurse Practitioner. Current CPR certification required.

Execution of Non-Competition, Confidentiality, and Non-Solicitation Agreement for CMG (Children's Medical Group, Inc.) required. Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.

Provide advanced practice nursing care at the medical site with prescriptive authority and dispensing privileges within a nurse practitioner's scope of practice and according to standardized protocol for all the ADP medical departments. Functions as an independent health care provider under a collaborative agreement with ADP physician(s), with or without a physician onsite. Evaluates and manages acute and chronic illnesses with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention to ADP associates. Supervise operations when the Physician Manager is not available. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Clinical Nurse Practitioner Activities * Delivers comprehensive health care. * Performs health assessments of work-related and non work-related injuries and illnesses. * Prescribes medications including renewals of controlled substances when appropriate. * Orders, performs and interprets appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. * Generates referrals to physicians or other healthcare providers for consultation and treatment when indicated. * Performs preventive health counseling like dietary, exercise, weight management, smoking cessation, etc. * In order to avoid operational disruption during the temporary absences of ancillary staff will perform the following duties: * initial rooming and workup of patients, venipuncture, in-house lab testing, as well as other responsibilities that may be assigned. * Accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system (EMR) according to Corporate Medical Department (CMD) guidelines. * Safeguards confidentiality of associate information. * Clinical coverage of the medical department in the absence of the on-site physician. * Other clinical duties as assigned. * Administrative Responsibility: * The nurse practitioner assists the Physician Manager, or performs the following duties as assigned: * Ensure OSHA compliance including preparation for annual mock OSHA survey review and update hazard and exposure control plans, MSDS/SDS, and all applicable state, federal, or corporate policies and regulations. * Ensure that office quality control procedures meet all regulatory guidelines for medical recordkeeping and equipment maintenance. * Assist with annual budget and oversight of monthly expenses * EMR support at the site. * Maintain appropriate inventory of medications, medical supplies and immunizations by ordering via Ariba or other approved vendors. This includes adhering to the drug management policy, and in some cases acting as the Practitioner-in-Charge. * Assist with the development of objectives for the satellite medical department that are in alignment with corporate goals and objectives. * Assist with the monthly report preparation including medical highlights and health promotion activities conducted at all sites served by the medical department. * Create, develop and implement customized and comprehensive health promotion programs in coordination with the Physician Manager. * Collects and analyzes data from health promotions to establish health priorities and interventions. * Plays a critical role in coordination of the medical emergency response program for the site * Assist with coordination of the site specific Ergonomic Program, First Responders Program, Annual Flu Immunization Program and other wellness programs. * Participates in intradepartmental and site specific committees (e.g. Safety Committee) at the discretion of the physician manager. * Other duties as assigned. * Managerial responsibilities * Provide supervision of the operational and clinical functions of the medical department when the physician manager is not available. * Supervise and direct the medical and administrative staff. * Serve as a delegate for Time & Attendance tool and other staff related issues when indicated. * Oversee office operations: * Scheduling of patients to maximize the medical care of the associates at the site * Assure HIPPA compliance Strictly adhere to the Medical Emergency Response protocol. * Identify potential hazards and safety issues in the workplace and immediately notify the location's Physician Manager and the corporate medical team and coordinate the response (e.g. highly contagious pathogens); liaison with local health department if needed. * Provide requested support to all the satellite business in the area served by the medical department, with respect to inquiries and issues related to associate's health and safety in the work place * Collaborate with the local HR and other ADP departments (Facilities, building Security, Risk Management) in resolving department or associate related issues as needed. Direct the medical departments' response to ensure compliance with the disaster management plan at the site. * Assure compliance with the policies and procedures of the ADP Health & Wellness Centers, and all applicable regulatory standards established by federal, state and local agencies. * QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Master's degree in nursing (MSN) required. * Nationally certified as an Adult NP or Occupational Health NP required. * Current License to practice as an advanced practice nurse in the state(s) of employment. * Current NPI (National Provider Identification). * Current DEA Registration Number. * BLS/CPR Certification required * At least 2-3 years of clinical experience in family practice/internal medicine, occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine as a Nurse Practitioner. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following: Must have a demonstrated ability to function independently and competent to provide medical care in the absence of an onsite physician. Ability to work and communicate with the Physician Manager and medical staff in a supportive, respectful, cooperative, and collaborative manner Excellent organizational, planning, and problem solving skills Current knowledge of governmental regulations and community health principles applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills Proficient computer skills required.
