This is a Full Time position and the schedule requires M 8a-4p, T 10a-6, W 10a-6p, Th 8a-4p, Fri 10a-6p

Requirements

Assists Program Director with the operations of the New Hope program. Has direct responsibility for daily facility management, oversees with the continuous responsibility and accountability for delivery of care in the program /unit. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, is responsible for the direct/ indirect supervision of an adult mental health and / or chemically dependant population.

  • Essential Functions:

  • Supervises non-clinical program staff.

  • Ensures appropriate staffing by developing monthly staff schedules, monitors employee designated work schedules for overage and enforces OT policy.

  • Maintains effective communication and relationship with staff, families, outside agencies and other providers.

  • Ensures adherence to department/agency policy and procedure as they relate to daily activity.

  • Participates in hiring and termination process.

  • Conducts staff meetings as required.

  • Ensures that all staff receive orientation, supervision and ongoing education.

  • Oversees equipment and supply inventories to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.

  • Compiles information into statistical forms and patient satisfaction surveys and forwards to appropriate sources.

  • Performs and/or delegates routine clerical tasks (computer, filing, copying, scanning, faxes, etc).

  • Oversees the screening and referral process insuring that all staff complies with policy and procedures.

  • Arranges transportation for New Hope patients.

  • Acts as Liaison with support services to insure that household needs are met in a timely fashion

  • Maintains working knowledge of policy and procedure specific to pertinent regulations and agency policy and participates in the development of unit specific policies

  • Participates in the incident reporting process including timely reporting, completion of essential documentation and implementation of recommendations.

  • Responsible for maintaining all documentation and record keeping (including intake and discharge planning documents, treatment plans; progress notes; clinical reports; correspondence and performance improvement indicators) in compliance with OASAS regulations.

  • Sets up and closes individual charts as needed.

  • Develops and updates program forms.

  • Assists Director with projects, research and reports as required.

  • Oversees and coordinates the transportation needs of clients and the unit.

  • Coordinates with cook on developing nutritious menu plans incorporating the dietary needs of clients

  • Coordinates with cook in maintaining adequate food supply and oversees food preparation.

  • Participates with Director on monitoring food budgets and other unit specific operating expenses and the maintenance of petty cash accounts while following accounting policy and procedures.

  • Assists with developing on-site training for staff ensuring attendance to in-service trainings

as required by OASAS

  • Responsible for ensuring timely reporting of work-related injuries, via incident/accident reports, to the Human Resources Department within 24 hours.

  • Follows emergency / disaster preparedness protocols.

  • Remains flexible and available as it relates to personally providing coverage for a variety of emergencies, holiday, relief and weekend shift coverage, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services/Business Administration preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with chemically dependent and/or psychiatric population preferred.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Advanced computer skills required.

  • Maintain valid NYS driver's license within agency criteria.

Salary Range

USD $24.74 - USD $31.00 /Hr.
