About the role
As our Office Manager, you will be the go-to person for all things office related, ensuring our workspaces run smoothly and merrily. You will report into our Head of People and oversee our San Francisco office and two co-working spaces in Boston & New York. In this role, you will be strategic about our physical spaces, raising the alarm when we are approaching capacity and creatively maximizing what we currently have.
To be successful in this role, you need to be highly organized, as well as comfortable with chaos and managing shifting priorities. You know that done is better than perfect and are constantly tinkering to find improved ways of doing things. Your initial scope will be heavily office-focused, but there will be plenty of opportunities to take on more responsibility within the people team, from onboarding to supporting various recruiting or HR tasks. If you are excited to learn, we are excited to teach you.
While you will be based in our SF office, you will bring positive energy to your interactions with everyone, fostering an inclusive environment that allows all employees to bring their best selves to work, regardless if they are in-office or remote. Our expectation is that you maintain an office space where people are excited to work, including yourself, five days a week.
Prior office management experience in a fast-paced, tech environment is helpful, but not necessary. We are more interested in your organizational and problem solving skills than your pedigree. So if this opportunity excites you but you don't meet the exact requirements, apply anyway!
What you'll do
Oversee the day-to-day operations of our SF office including facilities, equipment, maintenance, vendors, and inventory, and provide a welcoming and productive environment
Conduct general office maintenance tasks, from restocking amenities to ensuring the office space, including the kitchen, is clean and orderly
Support other team members when they host events onsite, serving as the go-to person for office conditions & facilities
Remotely manage our coworking spaces (currently in Boston and New York) to ensure team members are well supported
Manage our workspace budget and various vendors, reevaluating those relationships as needed
Greet on-site visitors with warmth and professionalism, support their needs, and guide them to the appropriate team members
Support with scheduling and various administrative tasks, spanning from HR to recruiting-related to company-wide
You are ideal for this role if you have
1-2 years of customer service experience
Excellent organization and problem solving skills
High level of curiosity and attention to details
Ability to work well with a distributed team
A good attitude and track record of making things happen
Prior experience with GoogleSuite and Slack (nice to have, not required)
Compensation
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.
Please note that the range listed is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area (which is a requirement for this role).
