The O ffice Manager's primary job responsibility is to facilitate and oversee the daily operations of the New York Buying office. This position will be involved in maintaining and developing procedures and best practices for office services and activities such as mail distribution, office supplies/equipment and facilities maintenance, sample management process and compliance, and more.
Develops procedures and policies for office services activities such as showroom calendaring, record keeping, mail distribution, office supplies, facilities maintenance, and office equipment, sample management process and compliance
Responsible for event management including planning, coordinating, scheduling, and event logistics. Oversee all planning activities for all corporate events held at the NY Buying Office
Acts as a liaison with the NJ corporate office as well as outside vendors in handling samples, deliveries, and appointments
Provides guidance and assistance with all administrative needs for the office
Handles wide variety of complex, confidential and/or time-sensitive material requiring high degree of prioritization, judgment, and organizational skills
Support senior level management including executives and management team when they are working in the NY Buying office on a weekly basis and partner with corporate executive office teams on a variety of administrative functions
What are we looking for in our ideal candidate?
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of prior office management/administrative experience. They must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and computer proficiency with a strong ability to maintain and organize data on spreadsheets. Also a must: Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize work activity based on need, attention to detail, initiative, and efficient follow through.
