Company:Christian Church in Kansas (Disciples of Christ)Title:Office ManagerReports to:Regional Minister, Personnel Committee, Regional BoardFocus of Position:This is a full-time position (8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday, half hour for lunch). The primary focus is three-fold: Administrative Assistant to the Regional Minister, Corporate Secretary for the Region, and Office Manager for the Topeka office. This person should be positive, detailed, and eager to help make a difference!Primary Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistant:

  • Assist Regional Minister and church search committees with Search & Call of pastors
  • Maintain annual Year Book & Directory Reporting on-line
  • Maintain, & print Regional Directory and various event program books as needed
  • Attend staff meetings/calls locations vary
  • Assist with Christmas Offering and other Special Offering publicity
  • Assist Regional Minister as needed
  • Administrate Regional part of proprietary database

Corporate Secretary:

  • Notarize documents (4-year Notary Public certification; Region pays for it)
  • Prepare for Executive Committee and Regional Board meetings
  • Record/print minutes for Executive Committee and Regional Board meetings
  • Attend Regional Assembly and assist with planning

Office Manager:

  • Typical office manager functions: maintain communications between two satellite offices and staff, handle mail, coordinate and oversee office work, trouble-shoot computer questions and problems, deal with building maintenance needs, answer office phone, order office supplies
  • Create on-line event registrations
  • Assist Disciples Women, Clergy Clusters and Camp with publicity & registrations
  • Update church information (pastor, address, phone, email, etc.) on regional website
  • Maintain church and ministerial information in permanent files
  • Process and enter registrations for all other events and workshops as needed (Youth Convention, Spiritual Retreat, Mens Retreat, Gala, Mission Trips, etc)
  • Set up ZOOM calls as requested
  • Approve bank transactions, account payables as requested by bookkeeper

VIEW JOBS 1/27/2023 12:00:00 AM 2023-04-27T00:00 <p>This position provides accounting and clerical support to the Business Services section of the Topeka Police Department including:</p><ul><li><p>Processes, maintains and files purchase orders.</p></li><li><p>Processes and maintains travel vouchers.</p></li><li><p>Assists employees with direct deposit forms, change of address forms, and other forms.</p></li><li><p>Assists the Business Services Manager with the budget processes by entering purchase requisitions and any special reports assigned by the Business Services Manager.</p></li><li><p>Maintain inventory of office supplies and orders supplies as needed.</p></li><li><p>Department Coordinator of the Purchase Card. Enters all receipts or the P-card holders and reconcile their P-cards for the Business Services Managers approval.</p></li><li><p>Attends the monthly car auction and receives money from car buyers, reconciles the money and submits to the Finance Department.</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned by Chief, Asst. Chief, and/or Bureau Commander. Fulfills requests for assistance from Lieutenants, Sergeants and Officers.</p></li><li><p>Delivers paperwork to the Finance, Human Resources and Purchasing Departments and Divisions as needed.</p></li></ul><p>Minimum requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to operate office machines. Knowledge and skills in computer data entry, experience using word processor, spreadsheets, and database software programs. Must have two year clerical experience. If not a current Police Department employee, must pass an extensive background check and must take polygraph test.
