Brief Description
GreenPower Motor Company, Inc. is seeking an Office Manager for its California facilities. This position will be part of the Human Resources team, ensuring administrative, financial and managerial tasks run smoothly and efficiently between all offices.
Responsibilities
Working as part of the HR team, functions may involve assistance with or responsibility for payroll, safety, screening applicants, orientation/onboarding, attendance, leave management, benefits and communication related to policies and recordkeeping and other matters related to HR.
May require extended office hours and/or flexing time to meet deadlines and accommodate different time zones.
May schedule drug screenings and background checks.
Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, Company calendars and conference room scheduling.
Organize and communicate office operations and maintain filing/document control.
Prepare letters, presentations, and reports as requested through Human Resources.
May manage office budgets.
Act as a liaison with staff, suppliers, and clients.
In conjunction with the HES and Facilities Officer, ensure that health and safety policies and compliance are up to date and being followed in the Rancho Cucamonga office and, as directed and necessary, other California facilities.
Manage facility including building policies, upkeep, maintenance, vendors and third-party providers and visitors/guests in the Rancho Cucamonga office and, as directed and necessary, other California facilities.
Responds to requests for verifications of employment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Associates degree (bachelor's preferred) in business, administration, human resources or related field.
Two to five years working as an Office Manager or in a similar position.
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), Google; experience with Paylocity is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to set up and control facility services, supplier research and negotiation and administration of contracts.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities; accurate and precise attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Comfort in both a leadership and team-player role.
Ability and willingness to maintain professional appearance (business attire).
Physical Demands
Regular use of the telephone, computer and e-mail for communication.
Seated for long periods of time.
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Minimal travel by automobile or air may be required.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but requests for alternate schedules may be approved. At times it may be necessary to flex this schedule in order to meet the demands of offices in a different time zone.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation will be based on education and experience. Qualified candidates will generally work a 40-hour work week.
