We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Church Office Manager. As the Church Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our church office and providing effective administrative support to our staff and congregation.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily administrative tasks, coordinating church activities and events, and maintaining accurate records. You will also serve as the main point of contact for visitors and members, providing them with information, assistance, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception area and ensure visitors are greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain and update church membership records and databases.
  • Assist with the coordination of church events, including scheduling, logistics, and communication.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly worship bulletins and other church communications.
  • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Coordinate meetings and appointments for staff members and church committees.
  • Assist with financial record-keeping, including processing donations and managing accounts receivable and payable.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to church leadership.
  • Ensure the church office is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in office management or administrative support roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor, with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of church operations and familiarity with church management software is preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events or church services.
