POSITION: Office Manager

LOCATION: Various Locations - Elementary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the administrative operations of the school, ensuring efficiency, organization, and productivity. The Office Manager will also be responsible for managing office resources, coordinating workflows, and supporting staff members to facilitate the smooth functioning of daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Business Office Technology or equivalent;

  • Two years of clerical experience in a school office or related setting;

  • Experience in working with sensitive information regarding students;

  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suites;

  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;

  • Ability to collect, sort, prepare and scan documents, and label them for easy identification;

  • Ability to ensure all records are properly updated, and maintained in an accurate and confidential manner.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets and interacts effectively with the general public, staff members, students, teachers, parents, and administrators, using tact and good judgment;

  • Assists with financial tasks and collaborates with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to DCSS guidelines and deadlines;

  • Provides secretarial and administrative support to building administrators;

  • Maintains a clean, organized and efficient office environment by managing office supplies and equipment;

  • Assists with human resources functions including completion of vacancy reports and the Classified/Certified Personnel (CPI) reports;

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal

REPORTS TO: Principal

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
