Office Manager
Are you ready to be the face of our department? As the Office Manager, you¿ll serve as the vital link between the BYU community, the public, and our dynamic team. Your support will directly impact the Department Chair, faculty, staff, and students, ensuring seamless alignment with BYU policies and mission. From managing finances to overseeing graduate programs, your role will be essential in keeping our office operations running smoothly. Join us in making a difference!
What you'll do in this position:
We are seeking a candidate whose intellect and unwavering devotion will play a crucial role in supporting both the department chair and the entire department in the following:
Financial and Budget Management
Executing Department Purchases
Budget Development and Monitoring
Graduate Scholarship
Med and EdD Graduate Programs Management
Liaison with BYU Graduate Studies
Student Lifecycle Support
Student Progress Monitoring
Human Resources Management
Adjunct Faculty Hiring and Contracts
Student Secretary Management and Oversight
Administrative Support
Class Scheduling and Faculty load Assignments
Department Operations and Office Management
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field(s)
Knowledge of accounting principles and use of related software
Competent and current in application of standard procedures and policy compliance for financial and HR functions
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Professionalism, efficiency, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent management and executive functioning capabilities
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communications
Ability to integrate multiple systems and processes into tasks and responsibilities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree plus four years in related field(s)
Experience in an academic environment
Experience with Workday software
Experience with Coursedog curriculum planning software
Awareness of government and BYU policies and regulations impacting financial and human resources transactions
