Position Summary

Transform lives by overseeing front desk operations of the Student Services and Information Center at the AMETA Center to ensure delivery of exceptional start-to-finish one-stop customer service and supporting the School of Applied Technology operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Set the standard to ensure high quality first impression for and exceptional customer service to Mid-State Technical College students and guests.

Supervise, support, and train employees within area of responsibility.

Assist with management of building logistics.

Maintain the office condition, arranging for necessary repairs and organizing office operations and procedures, including incoming and outgoing mail and office supplies.

Respond to a variety of in-person or phone inquiries pertaining to college services making appropriate referrals as needed.

Provide advisory committee support for academic programming associated with the AMETA Center.

Provide scheduling support for academic programs at the AMETA Center.

Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to support successful operations of academic programming.

Use in-depth knowledge of college policies and processes to analyze status of student records and answer questions.

Utilize software applications including customer relationship management system, student information system, and learning management system.

Collect tuition and fees and set up payment plans.

Provide administrative support, which may include data entry; creating and maintaining documents and files; scheduling; assisting with registration and advising; generating reports; reporting to regulatory agencies; completing various forms; scheduling, attending, and taking minutes at meetings; and processing billing authorizations, purchasing card statements, and mileage reimbursements.

Perform general office duties, which may include coordinating and maintaining office supplies, copiers, and printers; making room reservations; submitting facilities work requests; distributing mail; and submitting media service requests.

Perform duties to support daily operations of the campus to include maintaining signage and display monitor; maintaining campus calendar; and troubleshooting IT equipment.

Provide support for Bookstore and Business Office transactions.

Handle sensitive information in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations such as counselor notes, social security numbers, financial aid information, and credit card information.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate degree in related field required. Equivalent combination of education and Mid-State experience will be considered in lieu of associate degree.

Minimum of two years of prior office experience in a setting which utilized current office technology required.

Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office applications, and PeopleSoft applications, or the ability to learn and use PeopleSoft. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
