The Office Coordinator (AAII) serves as first point of contact for CCLASS and CADSS, which provide support services to students of the Chicanx and Latinx and African Diaspora communities, and promotes a sense of belonging, independence and integrated participation in campus life. The Office Coordinator (AAII) is to prepare monthly budgets; is responsible for purchasing and other general support functions and initiate DaFIS documents; provide administrative support by maintaining calendars for each center, scheduling meetings, maintaining equipment inventory, etc.; coordinate student office schedules; oversee office utilization; and maintain office listservs, websites and activity databases.
Lift supplies and materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
Occasional travel providing own transportation.
Restricted vacation schedule (during summer programs).
Work occasional overtime & varied lunch hours.
Work flexible schedule, sometimes o short notice, to meet center business needs.
Flexible to coordinate both 50% appointment assignments with each center.
Work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
Sit at desk and computer for extended periods of time.
Background Check Required:
This position is a critical position and subject to a background check. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation including criminal history and identity checks.

Experience working with Chicanx and Latinx and African Diaspora students in an academic space.
Experience using software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and other computer programs to produce general correspondence, forms, reports, spreadsheets, presentations.
Experience in maintaining security of confidential information.
Skills to multitask and prioritize multiple demands and requests.
Knowledge of programs and resources in support of the cultural, social, personal, and academic needs of students of the Chicanx and Latinx and African Diaspora communities.
Experience performing administrative and general office functions, accounting, record keeping, human resources and filing techniques.
Customer service skills to communicate and interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a cooperative/professional manner.
Skills using Kuali Financial System, Online Time Reporting System, Aggie Travel, UCDBuy, and DaFIS Decision Support.
Skills to understand university financial and budgetary processes; process transactions and oversight of receipt collection and financial documentation.
Ability to interpret and apply University policies and procedures.
Skills to work independently using sound judgment.
