Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under direction of the Associate Deputy Director, performs technical, administrative secretarial and office support functions; gathers, analyzes, and interprets data from various sources; conducts special projects; makes independent decisions requiring knowledge of rules and interpretations of management policies; utilizing knowledge and familiarity with all statutes, orders, rules, and procedures applicable to the Day Care Information Line and Adoption Information Line, answers calls and provides information to callers inquiring about substantiated licensing violations, license status, length of time the facility or adoption agency has been licensed, and capacity of the licensed facility or adoption agency; prepares and keyboards confidential correspondence; monitors the Sunshine Website and provides updates as appropriate; receives and responds to inquiries from the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (INCCRRA)/Gateways regarding provider status and the status of violations; forwards complaints against adoption agencies to the agency, Licensing Representative, and the Licensing Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college or completion of high school and two years of related office experience or two years of independent business experience; requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 30 wpm.

Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact: Anticipated Starting Salary: $3,098/month

Current bargaining unit employees: Contractual language applies

Full bargaining unit range: $3,098 - $4,286/month
