School Board Office Date Available: 06/24/2024 Closing Date: 06/10/2024 Job Description Title: OFFICE CLERK - SBO Position Type: Non-Exempt Primary Function:

Perform a variety of routine office procedures using clerical and basic computer skills with appropriate instruction and close supervision. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and some previous office experience.

Proficiency in use of word processing software and initiative to learn other computer programs as required. Knowledge of standard office practices and equipment. Exhibits use of correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Professional attitude and good communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to converse with members of the general public in a pleasant and effective manner.

Ability to quickly learn procedures used to report information and maintain records. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Performance Responsibilities:

Operate switchboard in courteous and efficient manner. Maintain files in manner that ensures easy access to information. Use microcomputer programs required to accomplish assigned work, e.g. word processing and data input.

Assist with mailroom and/or copying operation. Assist in the various School Board Office departments as needed Maintain confidentiality of reports, records, correspondence, and communications when required to handle such materials. Maintain a pleasant attitude, being tactful and courteous toward co-workers, students, parents, and visitors.

Perform other duties as assigned by the School Board Office Records Manager. Reports to: School Board Office Records Manager Terms of Employment:

Twelve months a year. Salary according to the School Board Pay Plan. Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of non-licensed personnel.
