Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.

Position Summary:

Performs secretarial duties including typing, shorthand, filing, answering telephones and making copies.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Computer skills.

  • Good human relations and oral/written communication skills.

  • Must possess organization skills and the ability to handle information of a confidential nature and exercise good judgment on an independent basis.

  • Possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with varying personalities and must remain calm, tactful and diplomatic at all times.

  • Possess the ability to work independently and maintain accountability of work.

Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, services include adult med/surge, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging. Position Summary: This position provides support and assistance to the Professional Recruiters, Recruiting Specialist, Recruiting Manager and Director of Human Resources. Provides skills and advice in the technical areas of the department administrative functions. Assists the Recruiting department in on-boarding tasks for new employees including management of the on-boarding software to collect paperwork for new employees, coordinating site visits with department managers, setting up travel and housing for site visits and new employees coming to Bethel. This position is to provide ground transportation in Bethel for on-site candidate visitors and newly hired professional personnel. The shift for this position may vary depending upon the travel (arrivals) and site visits scheduled. The employee must be available to pick up parties from the airport in Bethel for flights scheduled.
