Job Description and Duties

Are you interested in making a positive change in a Legal support role with State Fund's Legal Centralized Subpoena Unit? If so, we have an immediate opening for an Office Assistant to join our Legal team in the Salinas location.

The Office Assistant's primary responsibilities will be assisting the subpoena technicians in processing subpoenas in a timely and accurate manner. Additional duties also include providing printing and mailing back-up support for Subrogation, the Complex Legal Unit, and WC Legal (RUSH assignments only), and other administrative/clerical functions essential to the Legal department.

We are California's largest provider of workers' compensation insurance, and a vital asset to California businesses. State Fund supports California's entrepreneurial spirit and plays a stabilizing role in the economy by providing fairly priced workers' compensation insurance, making California workplaces safe, and restoring injured workers.

The Office Assistant is considered to be an essential worker and will be required to report onsite at the Salinas office.

New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

Working Conditions

State Fund has adopted telework for employees who can effectively perform their essential work functions remotely. However, this is an essential position and telework is not available.

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.
