Office Assistant Sr. SALARY: $20.20 - $22.08, per hour DOE REPORTS TO: Business Services Manager LOCATION:
Information Technology Division, Nespelem, WA Basic Functions: This is a non exempt position. This is an extremely responsible administrative support position, supporting IT Division Managerial Staff and Assisting and the Chief Information Officer.
Duties include: answer, log, route incoming/outgoing phone calls and mail, prepare and process vouchers, process purchase orders, travel/per diem, handling the majority of all IT purchases, maintain financial records and correspondence, will act as back up to Mobile Technician activating & setting up mobile devices, handles asset inventory and tagging. Will work with an advance level of confidentiality and work ethics in all business, financial and personnel matters Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Training:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED; WITH 36 months of combined education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform duties. Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position:
Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions. Must have and maintain Valid Driver License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of core managerial functions such as budgeting, procurement, personnel management, and finance.
Requires knowledge of the organizational structure of the Colville Tribes of the Colville Reservation Requires skill in a variety of communication methods to present complex issues to diverse audiences. Requires skill in creating an environment for improving customer satisfaction and promotes an atmosphere that establishes customer satisfaction as a key value in the organization. Requires skill in utilizing a personal computer and utilizing associated software programs.
Requires knowledge of computer systems scheduling and report distribution. Requies skill in problem solving/troubleshooting. Requires knowledge of basic hardware and software products.
Requires skills in the use of computers, MS office 2003/2007/2010, and associated software within the MS-Windows 7 and XP environment. Working knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise and Serenic Accounting System. Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team Requires the ability to handle multiple tasks and work under stressful situations and deadlines.
Requires the ability to adhere to stringent confidentiality standards. Requires knowledge of current organizational hardware and software capabilities. Requires the ability to learn and apply all Tribal and Division processes, policies and procedures.
Requires the ability to use mobile and/or PC technology, computer operating systems, network printer configuration and mobile device configuration in Windows and Mac. Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Tribal staff and the general public. Requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Must score 75% or higher on grammar & punctuation test. Requires basic math skills Requires the ability to learn and adapt to the ongoing changes of the organization. Requires the ability to clearly communicate goals and priorities of the organization as they relates to technical issues.
Requires the ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of business and technical problem solving skills. Requires the ability to demonstrate leadership in a dynamic environment. Requires the ability to establish and meet deadlines.
Requires the ability to utilize computers, laptops, iPads, iPhones. Requires the ability to be a positive influence on team building. Requires the ability to succeed as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 30 pounds; Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Requires ambulatory ability to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Requires the ability to function primarily working indoors in an office environment.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing. TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license and be eligible for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
