OfficeTeam is currently working with a well-known client in the Educational system find an Office Assistant for a temporary maternity leave coverage. The Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Office Manager and Director with administrative and special projects as needed. This position will be going on for approximately 3 months for a maternity leave coverage.   • Provide administrative support for the Office Manager and Principal, such as screening visitors/telephone calls, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings and ordering supplies

  • Process documents and materials such as student transfers, student cumulative records, schedules, reports, and school newsletters

  • Assist in the maintenance of student records, ensuring they are complete, accurate and properly organized

  • Manage confidential information appropriately

  • Assist Office Manager in completing school administrative functions/tasks as dictated by school site and home office deliverables; may work with outside vendors, and develop necessary communications internally and externally.

  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail including weekly or monthly mailers

  • Assist with other projects as needed

In addition to the starting salary, employeesin the Senior Auditor classification shall also receive an approximate fivepercent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay. ORS isseeking a self-motivated professional who enjoys a challenging and fast-pacedenvironment. The Senior Auditor reports directly to the CEO, who will act asthe liaison to the audit committee. Sincethe Senior Auditor will be auditing all divisions within ORS, it is importantthat independence from a division is maintained. The successful candidate will conduct complex analysis and review of pension-related calculations, perform audit work in a dynamic retirement environment, possess the skills necessary to manage competing priorities and projects, effectively apply concepts of risk assessment, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. General Duties: The Senior Auditor will conduct operational audits and special projects, which includes all phases of an audit including planning, fieldwork, report writing, and presentation. The Senior Auditor will interface with all levels of the ORS. Examples of general duties include: * Perform audits in compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework as issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Government Auditing Standards issued by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and ORS' policies and procedures. * Determine the nature of ORS processes and formulate objective opinions on their adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency. * Create an audit schedule, including components of a fiduciary audit, and coordinate with third parties, as well as manage the RFPs for fiduciary audits. * Verify and analyze transactions, management representations, documents, records, methods of reporting, receipts, disbursements, etc. for adequacy, effectiveness, errors, irregularities, and inconsistencies. * Audit samples of the bi-weekly payroll transmittal to ensure proper recording of pensionable and non-pensionable pay into the pension administration system. * Audit records to determine compliance with stated goals and objectives. * Evaluate and develop course of action to respond to the City Auditor recommendations, and provide updates to the CityAuditor on the status of these recommendations on a quarterly basis. * Evaluate information system controls; assess system security and data integrity. * Prepare and present written audit reports with recommendations on audit findings, including quarterly audit committee meetings. * Follow up to assess implementation of recommendations. There will be no substitution for the required units in accounting. 2. Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional auditing or accounting experience, including two (2) years experience at the level of Analyst II, Investigator Collector II, Program Performance Auditor I, or higher with the City of San Jose. 3.
