Office Assistant II - Lakeview Urologic Surgeons, Pediatrics

Our Lakeview Urologic Surgeon's practice is excited to welcome your application to join as a full-time Office Assistant II! Our role serves the pediatric population to partner in putting our patients, health plan members, employees, and community at the center of everything we do and creating a model that ensures that every patient gets the right care, in the right way, at the right time, every time. This position will require occasional travel from 300 State Street to 100 Peach Street, 1 city block. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service.

• Greet and register patients with a courteous approach, providing clear instructions and directions.

• Verify demographic and insurance information in the medical record and scheduling system.

• Prepare patient charts and complete essential paperwork, including encounter forms and referrals.

• Maintain a clean and orderly waiting area, ensuring available materials are stocked and organized.

• Answer patient inquiries regarding appointments and testing, providing relevant information.

• Process medical records release requests and assist with billing inquiries for inpatient services.

• Utilize automated systems for scheduling, charge entry, and insurance verification to streamline operations.

Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or GED

• Three years of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting

• Word processing and computer experience

Preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Customer service experience

• Previous pediatrics experience

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 34
