Office Assistant / Customer Service Representative for glass fabrication business. Act as primary point of contact for customers, primarily by telephone.

Job functions:

  • Partners with operations and sales in providing quotes, order entry, tracking orders and special product or order requests.

  • Demonstrates initiative in superior customer care through research and responsiveness when requested information is not readily available.

  • Processes a high volume of customer orders and change notices in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Performs administrative duties such as data entry, word processing, filing, copying and other general office organization and housekeeping duties.

Job qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • 2+ years experience in customer service preferred

  • Glass industry experience highly preferred

  • Must have technical aptitude to understand our product and processes

  • Ability to communicate clearly, be detail oriented and have a high degree of self-motivation

  • Computer savvy, and familiar with Microsoft products

  • Friendly out-going attitude with great customer service skills

Core Competencies & Accomplishments: * Utilizes problem-solving skills and appropriately applies solutions. * Familiar with MS Office Applications. * Ability to handle difficult calls with professionalism and courtesy and is a positive example to others. * Requires skills in communication, adaptability, managing work, and customer focus. * Requires general knowledge of the organization, its services and policies and procedures. * Ability to provide coverage over weekend and holidays as required. * Takes initiative for process improvement. * High School Diploma or equivalent required w/ 1-2 years' customer service experience preferable.
