Our agency is looking to fill a full-time, permanent Office Assistant (OA3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Lacey Field Office located at 6135 Martin Way East Lacey, WA 98516.

Under general direction of the Secretary Supervisor, this position provides clerical support to eleven Community Corrections Officers, two Community Corrections Supervisors, and the Secretary Supervisor.   • Greet and direct clients, general public, and/or stakeholders to the appropriate staff.

  • Manage a multi-line phone system.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.

Provide administrative support to CCO's (to include but not limited to).

  • Perform file maintenance tasks such as setting up new files for supervised individuals, maintaining electronic and hard copy files, close, and archive.

  • Process assignment paperwork: prepare paperwork for intake, add to existing file, complete proper paperwork.

Provide Clerical Support.

  • Copies/scans reports to proper agencies as requested following Department of Corrections Public Disclosure Policy.

Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Computer knowledge

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to work with individuals of various criminal backgrounds and personalities.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, the public, and criminal justice agencies/stakeholders.

  • Ability to file, use appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

  • Ability to focus with constant interruptions.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Prior experience working in an office setting.

  • Experience working with databases and computer programs.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Salary is based on experience and is determined at the time an offer of employment is made. The salary listed in the job posting includes Steps A-M. Step M is a longevity step and is typically gained six years after being assigned to Step L in your permanent salary range.
